Yea 5 pts back but we have a game on the isles and play them twice. This Tuesday needs to be a win. Then you're 3 pts back and have a game in hand with one more game to play. We don't need to win every game just can't lose more than a few more and def not against the guys we are chasing

The problem is that while the Isles and Rangers are tied for the last two spots, there are three other teams that are contending with you for that last spot. The devils, Winnepeg, and the Sabres, who have been doing well of late for whatever reason. The Flyers have left themselves little room for error. The next five games will likely determine whether they go or not. 3 road games and 4 of these games are against current playoff teams, the lone non playoff team is a road game vs buffalo. If they dont at least hold ground over those games, there isnt going to be much time left to actually do anything.

You value a 3rd pick that much?

did u see my "lol". Not really value it that much just something to scoreboard watch for fun. We don't have a first round pick from the Jeff Carter trade so it would be nice to have the 3rd rounder but wouldnt shed a tear if you guys missed the playoffs and get the 4th rounder which looks like most likely scenario.

Good luck the rest of the way though. I love your teams uniform and logo. It Gave me a reason to buy a Mike Richards #18 Flyers jersey on clearance on a Philly website. Flyers are a team that Kings fans root for in the east cause we always end up with players with Flyer ties so we like to scout your team for future players

I think they will miss out, but not by much. I'd like them to make it to number 8 - there would be no pressure on us to win. Heck, if we lost in 4 straight it wouldn't be an embarassment. But I think we are too inconsistent to pull off making the playoffs. Everytime I think we are on the verge of making a big run, we fall apart.

We just had our big run. To make the playoffs they will need to go 8-2 the rest of the way. I don't think it's happening.

not high:

Philadelphia Flyers Playoff Chances
Beat NY Rangers 4-2, playoff odds up 0.03 to 0.4%
41 points 19-21-3

Best we can top out is 51 points. Rangers and Jets need 6 to surpass that. Isles need 3.
Rangers have a game in hand

I am wondering where we fall when it comes to draft. comments were made during the game that the players know they aren't going to the PO's.....playing spoiler at this point.

Hopefully we helped to bring down the Rangers season as well. MUCH more was expected of them. Of course, if they got in, they very well could topple the Pens. So torn on this...lol.

The Devils play the Rangers twice down the stretch, so losing to the Devils tomorrow would pretty much seal the Flyers' fate (you may argue that it has already been sealed ).
