Valero Texas Open this weeks PGA tournament.

Fritsch started off bad with a double bogey on the first, but then completed the round with 4 birdies to finish with a 2 under 70 and is currently tied for 7th.

Anyone else here a Reds fan? 2/3 against the Angels to open the season is a pretty nice start.

Again a bad start for Fritsch, 3 bogeys on the first 5 holes but he as now battled back with 3 birdies currently even for the day as of 11 holes today.

He's leaving everything hanging high in the strike zone. Sox powered every ball in that inning.

Big day for Canada today, we have two chances to make the Davis Cup semi-finals. Let's hope Milos can get the win on the first chance though.

Dickey had that slowball working like magic today.

Yikes. What will the Jays record look like if Dickey doesn't have another outlier season like last year?

Middlebrooks is a monster.

Watching the Reds vs. Nats...probably the two best teams in the NL. They've had a cool series so far but I think my Reds are the better team.

Also Blue Jays suck hahaha.

It's like 6 games into the season. With this many new faces it'll take a while to gel as a team. Also are missing Bautista and Lawrie atm.

If they're still playing like this in a month I'll start to worry.

Meh...I'm not convinced that they're going to be elite. Baseball, more than any other sport, is more about individual players than it is about "gelling" as a team. There are obviously some team aspects involved, but a hitter will hit regardless of who his teammates are. Pitcher and catcher are another thing completely, but last year was always going to be an outlier for Dickey.

I would say don't get your hopes up about the Jays. They're not WS contenders -- definitely not favourites like some vegas odds had them.

Angels, Rangers, Reds and Braves are the teams that you need to look at.

I had them as a wild card anyways pre-season. I stick by that prediction.

I could see that. There's definitely enough talent there -- but there are just better teams in the AL. I think people were sleeping on the BoSox at the beginning of the year...doubt that continues.

Did any of the resident Aussies catch the Geelong v North Melbourne AFL match last night? What a wild game that was. Not sure if you guys ever check in on this thread.

Huge, huge win for Canadian tennis today. Milos Raonic takes out Andrea Seppi in straight sets, Canada beats Italy 3-1.

Up next... Novak Djokavic and Serbia.

Semi-final, in Serbia, happens in September.

Watch out the Big Red Machine is coming through. They look unstoppable right now. Only two losses have been close extra innings games. Absolutely running through top competition.

TSN2 - Men's NCAA Final
TSN - Women's hockey blowout

TSN should never be allowed to bid for sports.

I've always loved watching the NCAA tournament. But I never understood why the final had to be a 9:30pm tip off on a Monday.

Been watching the tournament for 25 years, probably seen less than 10 finals.
