Fear not, people who said the Jays would be good. Titles aren't won in April. But sometimes baseball games are.

Oh Blow Jays. People had their expectations way too high. They were never going to go from near bottom of their division to WS winners. Hope they make the playoffs, but I wouldn't hope for much more. Their staff is very, very overrated.

Uhm most rational people don't think they're WS winners. They expect them to contend for the AL East.

They still will.

SNet hasn't helped keep expectations in check. Between talking about how amazing they're gonna be and re-playing the World-Series wins, they haven't left any room to fail.

To give the West Coast a fair shot at being able to watch the game.

They don't have the pitching staff to contend for the AL East. Their line-up is nice though. Unless the rest of the division has a down year they're going to be a middling team that may fight for a wild card spot.

I suppose. Must be the only North American sporting event that tries to make things easier for West Coasters to watch.

Disagree.

The start aside, their starting rotation is top 5 in the AL on paper.

It's really not. Off the top of my head Detroit, LA, Tampa, Oakland and New York are better IMO. That's not factoring in regression and the NL pitching staffs...some of which are insane this year.

If the Jays make the playoffs it will be on the back of their bats. Their pitching isn't terrible, but it's a relative liability and the reason they're not WS contenders.

The Yankees? HAHAHAHAHAHAH. Don't agree with Oakland. Tampa and Detroit for sure, LA probably.

14-year old Tianlang Guan finished his first round of the Masters at +1, top amateur after one round.

If he can somehow come close to equalling that tomorrow, he could make the cut.

Round 1 continues with Marc Leishman, Sergio Garcia and Dustin Johnson tied at -6. Fred Couples and Trevor Immelman are part of a group at -4. A big group are at -2, including Tiger Woods, Brandt Snedeker, Justin Rose and Lee Westwood.

Mike Weir - E
Rory McIlroy - E
Phil Mickelson - +1
Bubba Watson - +3

Doing great in my masters office pool so far.

I got Phil, Snedeker, Rose and Westwood all at -2.

Oakland had one of the best, youngest staffs in the league last year and it's only better this year. The Yankees have a pretty solid rotation. I guess I'm just not sold on Dickey, Buehrle and Morrow. I like Josh Johnson a lot but he's a question mark on health and consistency, too.

I'm not saying it's a bad rotation, but they're not as good as people got hyped up for. If Toronto goes anywhere it's on the back of their line-up.

Tianlang Guan finishes two rounds at +4. He's in for the weekend as it stands right now.

It was issued a one stroke penalty on 17 for slow play. He was earlier warned on 12th hole for slow play.

Tianlang Guan makes the cut at the Masters. Also right at the +4 cut line is last years winner Bubba Watson.

Mike Weir had six bogeys and one double bogey on his way to a 79, and will not play on the weekend.

Just what the Jays need.

Jose Reyes takes an awkward slide into second base. He's rolling around in pain, will leave the field on the back of a cart. Complete silence in the stadium in Kansas City.

Doesn't seem like it will be a short term thing.

On replay, I would say broken ankle or every ligament in there is torn to shreds. Looks really bad.
