Was there a hockey game somewhere in there? I thought I was just being bombarded with advertisements.

Seriously, though - it was a pretty nice pass.

How close do we think Armia is next year? Obviously, a year down in Rochester wouldn't be the worst thing for 'em, but maybe his 3 years playing against grown men in Finland have him physically ready for the pros...Thoughts on his chances of making the team out of camp?

I think he'll be here next year. He's excelling in a men's league now and with the shape we are in now, I think he makes the roster day one. I don't know how others feel, but with the trajectory he's on, he has easily surpassed Grigs as our no. 1 prospect in my mind. I can't wait to see what he does at the worlds.

The fact that Armia plays better when the games get more important is really nice...looks like he thrives on those pressure situations.

Grigo was -2 with 1 SOG. 12/19 on Faceoffs in the Remparts 4-1 loss to Rouyn-Noranda. Of note, Kucherov had a goal and assist. Bet Roy was wishing he traded Sorenson instead

Lepkowski was dominant physically in the first round against Kingston. I have been really impressed with him all year and would like to see him get a contract as I feel there is potential there. We have the room in Rochester (and ECHL). Jfb would probably know better than I would if he will get it or not, though.

We also need to sign Brady Austin. Same mould as Lepkowski and I would like to retain him as well.

I think Roy wishes Grigorenko would show up. He's a no show in 2 games in the second round. Erne and Shaw took care of the win tonight.

What did he do well or do bad specifically? Seems like you just use the terms like invisible and no show.

Did he lose puck battles? Did he turn over the puck frequently? Did he make any strong defensive reads? Did he generate any chances? Was he good at the dot? Or was he hust invisible because he didnt put up any points?

I am just asking this because you rarely have anything positive to say about his but never go into detail.

Did he lose puck battles? Yes. Most of them. Except one or two shifts in the third tonight.

Did he turn over the puck frequently? He doesn that every game, even when he has good games.

Did he make any strong defensive reads? I don't remember he did. Like I said in previous threads, his line is often in troubles in the defensive zone.

Was he good at the dot? Not tonight.

Or was he hust invisible because he didnt put up any points? Of course, Quebec will need him to produce to win in this series. Yesterday he missed the puck on a 2 on 1 and today he missed the net on a 2 on 1. He didn't even get a shot on net. These are easy chances he shouldn't miss.

I say good things about him when he does good things and bad things when he does bad things. It's like people here are expecting him to always dominate the QMJHL, but he doesn't. He's a good player who still has a lot of things to learn. Right now, I'd like him to take better decisions with the puck. He creates too much turnovers and instead of shooting, he just tries to make the fancy plays that don't work against good teams.

Grigorenko was a blistering 4/17 on the draw last night. I'm sorry but at the junior level you have to be basically trying to lose them to be that horrible. It shows a lot about his will to win a puck battle when he's going 4/17 at the dot.

Armia and Ässät are in the Finals! They won Game 5 0-1 in Jyväskylä, take the series 4-1.

Armia has 3+3 = 6 in 10 playoff games so far

Finals start next Monday, in Tampere, against Tappara

Is that against Barkov's team? Is he healthy right now?

It is, and no, he's out for the season with the shoulder injury.

Not that I'm happy with an injury to him, especially to him, but it sure makes it all seem more plausible...

Did Armia already complete his military service? And when is the IIHF World Championship, and do we expect him to play in that tournament?

Just a nice pic of Armia

He uses that one handed protect move a lot nowadays, and it's working pretty good

Bear in mind, Armia's a righty

EDIT: I'm sure with a bit digging I could find a ton of these

Armia will look better in blue and gold rather than advertisements.

A lot of the logos for those teams are badass. It's too bad about the adverts.

Thats pretty damn stupid comment from you. I take that as an direct insult towards whats most sacred, the jersey.

And by the way, Armia has woren that red jersey nearly for 15 years. I think he looks pretty good in it and his heart will always be Spade shaped.

Agreed. I like his team's spade logo.

Or it's just a lamentation on how the jersey has to be ruined by advertisements. Not for nothing, but it's kind of hard to refer to a jersey as being sacred when it is covered in ads.
