Will this guy get drafted you guys think? I want to draft him in my keeper league but the rules state that you have to be signed to a pro contract or drafted into the nhl. Or will this guy be an ECHL'er at best?

He could get drafted late, hard to tell. He wasn't lighting it up in PG and they didn't/couldn't trade him. So who knows.

They didn't trade him, but not because nobody wanted him. It was more because they were asking so much for him because he's still a valuable player and piece.

Yup, you're bang on with that assessment, we hate him here and have wanted the whole clan gone forever, but I don't think he will ever sell the team (I cant for the life of me see how he can possibly be making money, hardly anybody goes to the games anymore and its been like that for many years now)....he runs the team as a family business instead of getting people in here that know what they're doing, its beyond frustrating, BUT the good news is that the GM and his wife are splitting up, so hopefully when his contract is up, he will be gone. Kind of surprised we still have a team here to be honest.

I call him Nick Ebert 2K0, meaning he went from being considere top 3 two years ago to probably getting pick dead last in this year entry draft.

I would love to use a 6th rounder on him. Sad what happened.

Forsberg had 2 serious problems in PG, 1st was horrible conditioning, 2nd was a very "me" attitude.

He felt the coaches were picking on him when they tried to get him to work harder on conditioning, in his mind he was being punished, but everyone else, including his teammates knew he was sadly lacking and was unwilling to put in the work.

Kind of reminds me of Steven Anthony.

It's really a shame that he didn't pick up the abilities of his brother Filip or their dad Peter.

Read up to Filip and was about to be like but you ended it well

I remember a few years ago hearing his name and thinking he was another highly touted guy for the draft. Too bad about his attitude problems.

I guess we won't know how low he's drafted (or if he's drafted at all) until the draft...but has a CHL #1 pick ever fallen this badly before?

Ryan Kerr. Was drafted #1 in the WHL Draft in 2004. Never selected in the NHL Draft and never turned Pro. Kinda ironic that he was drafted by Prince George aswell.

Made a joke early in the year that his teammate Zach Pochiro would be drafted before him. Back then it was a joke.

Well he needs to wake up and understand that he has a lot of work to do if he actually dreams of playing in the NHL or he might wake up alter in life and realize the opportunity he squandered.

At this point his principles don't matter he simply has to play in the WHL and prove everyone wrong at this point.

What's he going to do? Go back to the junior team he left? Will they relent and trade him?

At least if he'd been drafted, you'd think the team would have been able to push for some sort of resolution to the stalemate. Now it seems like he's alone in the wilderness on this one.

apparently according to yahoo sports he has relented and will return to PG. Can he revive his status as a top level elite prospect?

Oh wow, I wonder what that relationship is going to be like with upper management... or how the team will feel/treat him. Hope it works out.

No, I would say that ship has sailed. He needs to work on reviving his status as a prospect, period.

I bet he plays some exhibition games and maybe a few regular season games and then gets dealt.

Agreed. He's definitely more valuable to the Cougars if he actually comes to camp in shape, healthy, and is competing.

Who would be interested? A Saskatchewan team?
