Was very impressed with his play, especially last night.

Definitely. I only saw last night's game but there I was very impressed. Really hard working style.

I'm surprised this thread isn't active..

Anyone else see the late hit on Colin Smith in the Kamloops - Kelowna game? Yikes..

Q playoffs have been boring so far. Top 3 seeds a dominating their opponents and have 2-0 leads, and Rouyn and Quebec are tied 1-1, not a surprise though.

I say the same thing about Mathias Niederberger. If he was just a few inches taller he'd have been drafted for sure.

Just wanna make a shout out to Owen Sound's Zack Nastasiuk, who worked his ass off to finish 20/20 on the season and now has 9 points in 8 playoff games. Kid is all heart and soul and now the offence is coming around. Some team in the 2nd Round is getting themselves a character kid with upside.

Oil Kings took a snooze in game 2 of their series versus the Hat and eeked out a 1-0 win. The Tigers dominated the game for portions but Brossoit bailed the Kings out with several big saves. Lanigan was also solid in goal for Medecine Hat.

It was 2-0.

Brossoit played well but I wouldn't say it was domination.

Kamloops up 5-1 right now.. 2-0 series lead over Kelowna.

WHL Conference Finals probably going to look like..

Edmonton vs. Calgary
Kamloops vs. Portland

The second period was all Tigers. And yeah, I somehow missed hearing when Corbett scored to make it 2-0.

Seven games of WHL Battle of Alberta in the conference finals would be epic. Calgary and Edmonton are two very evenly matched squads.

Remember last Rockets series?
Still think (and hope) they can win it. Most important thing will be a win in game 3 at Kamloops. If they don't win that one, it's over.

Dumba wins it in OT for Red Deer! Series now at 2-1 for Calgary.

Bartosak and Driedger both played really strong tonight, 38 and 42 saves respectively.

LAughton got suspended for 5 games

He's received 15 total games suspended this year. Typical flyers goon

That's good news for Red Deer, on the friday night sportnet game, although it was close at 2-1, i didn't think Red Deer was ever in it.

Last night's game in Red Deer was fantastic. One of the best WHL playoff games so far this year.

Med Hat getting dominated by Edmonton right now, down 3-0 and being outshot 22-2 after 1 period.

Red Deer down 2-0 to Calgary after 1 period, Calgary playing really well.

Top 3 seeds in the Q up 3-0 now ... All have looked unstoppable.

Rouyn takes 2-1 lead over Quebec in what is/will be a long series highlighted by the euros.

Maybe a bit of a homer but I think the Oil Kings would win again. The only guy who gave the OK's trouble last year was Baertschi and he's gone. Edmonton is good in all areas of the game. Especially defense and goaltending. It will be really tough for Rattie, Leipsic and Petan to get going in that series if it happens. Oil Kings have only given up 5 goals so far in these playoffs.

At this point the Oil Kings aren't just a WHL favorite but a Memorial Cup favorite, IMO.

Sounds like an av, they'd probably draft him much earlier than expected to. Top 3 maybe.
