A Quebec City/Halifax Finals is possibly the leagues' president dream. Two big organizations and two large arenas that can draw over 10,000.

Halifax is Memorial Cup bound, though.

The Gatineau - Halifax game tonight was pretty exciting, but Gatineau is obviously not in the same league. My goodness Halifax was all over them; they play at high speed on offense and when applying pressure.

Emile Poirier really impressed me for Gatineau; I had seen him a few times early in the season and he has really improved over the year. I can see why he is now looking like a potential 2nd rounder in the upcoming draft.

Sylvester has been huge for the Hitmen all year.

Oil Kings keep the good times rolling with a 9-2 decision over Medecine Hat tonight. 15 of 18 skaters on the Kings' roster picked up points.

Tough call. Homer pick for me would obviously be the Oil Kings, but Portland has one of the most potent offenses in the CHL. That being said, the Kings are one of the top defensive teams and have a pretty robust offense themselves, so the outcome really is difficult to judge. Would definately be a barnburner of a matchup though.

Ya I think it will be a good series, but ultimately I feel as if Edmonton is the stronger team (no homerism I swear!)

You have to credit them for really taking it to Rimouski, who were probably a little too confident before the series even started. There's not a lot of talent on that roster (especially when Reway and Hyka were both out down the stretch). Good on them.

JC Lipon wins it for Kamloops! 5-4 OT win... Kelowna is down 3-0 just like the first round.. can't see them coming back again. What a great game.

Fans and the league are hoping for such a series. After last years (one of the greatest in Q history) series, and both teams returning their key stars, it would make for an entertaining series.

Baie-Comeau isn't as star-studded as Quebec or Halifax, but they're still the second best team and the team that traded MacKinnon to Halifax .... How cool would that be lol.

Calgary won the season series 4-2 with Edmonton winning the last two games. It will be a classic. I do think Edmonton has more depth just about everywhere and will win. Calgary is a big, heavy team that has skill as well so they match up very well. Definitely a must watch series.

A Calgary/Edmonton series would sell itself given the Battle of Alberta history in the NHL and the friendly rivalry between the 2 cities.

Calgary-Edmonton should be great but I see the Oil Kings winning that in 6 games. Kamloops-Portland should be good too, but probably another 6-game series for the Hawks.

Fully expecting a rematch of the same finals as last year, Edmonton vs. Portland.

Funny thing is Edmonton will have some Calgary fans cheering for them because of Brossoit.

I'm cheering for the Oil Kings.

There's no benefit for me to see the Hitmen succeed.

Can someone give us an outlook on Stefan Fournier with Halifax. The kid is burning the Q series right now with his offensive record, better than the two Wunderkids, McKinnon and Drouin. He is 20 and never been drafted. Can he make the NHL ?

Samuelsson ties it up late then less than a minute later Reinhart puts Edmonton ahead as they look to sweep Med Hat

Big, skilled, and not afraid to get physical/fight. He is absolutely amazing in front of the net especially on the PP. He and MacKinnon are developing amazing chemistry.

Edit: as for the NHL, I'm not sure. He would have to improve his skating and speed a lot. I think he can have a decent AHL career.

Kelowna's season on the line after an absolutely horrible call sending Kamloops to the PP with 3 minutes left in a tie game.

EDIT - Heading to OT again.

Hawks eliminate the Chiefs in 4 games giving up only 3 goals all series with none of them coming during 5 on 5 play.
