The Islanders are pleased to anounce that they've reached an agreement with the Chicago Blackhawks on a blockbuster deal!

receive:
G. Nyquist
J. Petry
M. Ekholm

receive:
B. Seabrook
A. Henrique
R. Strome
NYI's '13 2nd
NYI's '13 3rd

I get a future star in Nyquist, a solid 2nd pairing Defenseman in Petry, and another young D prospect on that will be competing for a spot on my 3rd pairing next season. Trading Seabrook allows me to bump Niskanen up to the 2nd Pairing behind Karlsson and will help him further develop by giving him better quality minutes in more situations. My previous trade with allowed me to move both Strome & Henrique as Watson projects to be my future 2nd line center.

The are looking to add a 1st line center, or a player with the potential to become a first line center. Willing to package up multiple assets including Williams, Leino, Clutterbuck, Picks & prospects depending on the player. If you want to discuss a possible deal send me a PM!

Confirmed. This trade makes since for both teams for a lot of reasons. It was tough to let Nyquist go but I get one of my favorite players in Adam Henrique that will be with the hawks for many years. Also up and coming Defenseman Jeff Petry was off limits in pretty much every deal but the chance to bring back longtime blackhawk Brent Seabrook was too good of a opportunity to pass up. They are both fine young players and dealing them to the eastern conferance knowing we wouldn't have to battle with them all season long certainly made pulling the trigger easier. We realize Ryan Strome may be more of a project and take a few years to develop but I'm a big fan and look forward to him contributing down the road. Mattias Ekholm is no slouche either.. he should be a steady presence on the blueline for the Islanders victim of a numbers game and we wish him the best of luck. Great doing business with you New York enjoy Nyquist he should be a awesome addition to your team for years to come.

Always looking to deal.

Fleischmann available for a high end prospect or top 10 pick (would probably have to be top 5-6)

Zetterberg, Fowler, Fleischmann, Couturier, Weiss (fa rights), R. Ellis, S. Elliott, Joensuu, E. Wellwood, K. Wellwood, M. McNiell open to discussion.

Looking to clear at least some cap space in any trade.

looking to shed some cap, and with that in mind: Hudler, Ohlund, Arnott and Wideman are all on the block. can add a decent prospect or pick to make the cap easier to swallow

also willing to consider trading Seguin or Quick, but the return would have to be great.

looking for RWs and/or DFD

send Quick and a 2nd
to
for Steve Mason and Andrew Ladd

Didn't like having so much money invested in so few players, also needed some more size in my top 6 which Ladd brings. Mason is very overrated in this game, paired with a newly 81 Enroth I'm still good in goal.

NJ accepts. We get a young, proven elite goaltender who joins RNH and Rielly as my future star players.
