Yeah but it's funnier to perpetuate it coming from Feaster.

It was Weisbrod who apparently told Feaster, Ive just seen the guy whos going to be 10 years from now hes going to be talked about as the best player in this draft.

Nobody ever mentions the Niewendyk or Giroux comparisons which follow, but I guess they're less funny...

The question still stands, if Jankowski was born three weeks later, where would he go in the 2013 draft class? Not that I expect a serious answer mind you, just more responses of "best player in 10 years lol"

I think it's really tough to tell, since so few players are in the NCAA prior to their draft year. We'd have a better gauge on it if he'd gone the USHL route. I still think he'd be a first rounder, but where in that first round he goes, I couldn't hazard to guess.

I agree most top prospects that do play in the NCAA, play the year after they are drafted and most are around .8-1 ppg obviously Janko isn't in the same class but next year would be a good year to compare.

scored a big goal tonight... He's also playing on a very defensive minded Providence team.

All I can say is, he's going to look good on Saginaw's first line with Jimmy Lodge and Eric Locke next year.

Saginaw owns his rights if he does choose to play in the OHL. He won't be leaving college though, he's progressing well and has shown some good improvements the last few games.

I doubt he leaves Providence though, as Feaster has some connections to Providence and his dad went through college and also coached.
His distant relative Rob Blake also went to college and he was pretty decent, I hear.
Plus, it makes more sense considering the type of player he is.

Also, you can watch him play vs. Northeastern here.
Just choose "Men's Ice Hockey" from the filter dropdown and click the "On Demand" tab.
The game actually starts around 15 minutes into the broadcast.

LOL:

Sep. this is the deepest draft since 2003
Dec. man this draft is so weak
April. I guess this draft is kinda weaker than we thought we'll see
3 years later. man that draft was awesome!

High school players are so unpredictable because they are usually drafted before their potential has been tested by much of any competition. I woudl say higher than last season but not by much he is still a boom bust player in this draft.

3rd round, maybe late 2nd in a rational universe.

Elsewhere, 15-20 overall if Weisebrod doesn't get a centre with his 1st pick in 2013.

He would still be a late 1st, early 2nd round pick I think. He has a ton of upside, more so than Nicholas Petan or Anthony Duclair IMO and they are late firsts, early 2nds.

If I was doing a Jankowski joke I'd say first overall.

Being serious, I say 25th-40th

Im not sure on this question would we be dropping his birthday and developement back 1 week or 1 year?

Assuming one week and being the oldest in the draft 16-25
Assuming one year and being the youngest once again 31-40

It will probably be New Jersey since that's where the draft is being held but I don't understand why he would go since he was already picked by Calgary last year.

Only New Jersey doesn't have their first rounder this season So only if he went mid second round

deeper draft when it comes to forwards, id say just a couple of spots lower or early 2nd round.

In their defense most people are moreso making fun of Calgary than Jankowski. It wasn't his fault that they picked him.
