Agreed. NHL franchises don't just go to the highest bidder and there are just too many skittish owners. With PHX devolving into a bona-fide fiasco, they want the safe play and another southern market sounds too risky. Heck, Houston is a huge city and even an AHL team wasn't sustainable there.

Myth. That is not why the Aeros are moving. Houston was normally in the top 10 in AHL attendance.

I'd be okay if Houston got an NHL team. It gets lumped in with the Sun Belt cities but has less of a transplant culture than say Phoenix or Miami.

We just can't carry that many goalie prospects...where would we put them all, especially with Gustafsson coming over next season?
