There's always next season. It should be a fun game against Calgary though. Lots of frustration from both sides.

Taylor Hall is an amazing hockey player. Could have swore Messier was wearing #4 tonight. Absolute beast!

****ing ridiculous ending. There's no guarantee we'd score, but that was terrible

Oh god, where to start?

Gagner line was invisible YET AGAIN.
Dubnyk let in a couple of softies YET AGAIN.
Hall and Yakupov get chirped at like crazy and nobody sticks up for them YET AGAIN.
The Oilers don't show enough intensity until they they are down in the 3rd YET AGAIN.
Yakupov plays a tremendous game and doesn't see the ice in the last minute YET AGAIN.
The vets gave us nothing YET AGAIN.
The refs bone us YET AGAIN.
The Oilers are out of the playoffs YET AGAIN.

Yep, that's our Oilers. FML.

It's too bad Katz is likely sitting on a log in English Bay, watching the sunset, he might actually fire this joke of a GM.

I wouldn't be surprised, they're going to free fall in the standings now that they're out of it.

So many losers on this team. If there is 1 free buyout as rumored this summer, I hope Hemsky gets bought out. The guy hardly ever does anything. So over him. The top line always at least creates chances. 7 straight years of missing the playoffs. Pathetic. So frustrating being a diehard fan of this team.

Well Oilers...watching Calgary play a good game doesnt help me either...they blow up their team and still put in a better effort...even when they have nothing to play for except pride...you have one year from today to keep a fan who has been here since the very beginning (I was 9, but still)

One year...

Ice-time during certain situations aren't governed by merit. They're governed by a meld of idealized components of situational unit (e.g. net presence, half-wall playmaker, etc..) and a hierarchy based primarily upon seniority.

If I'm Yakupov, I am probably pissed at the team for not letting me try and win despite doing everything that is required of me.

That actually reminded me of the first game we played against PHoenix. Horcoff got cross-checked in the neck by Doan and there's no call. Then the refs make a phantom call on Gagner...

I hate the Coyotes. They have so many undisciplined *******s on their team and they get away with it every time. We can't even sneeze around an opposing player without getting a penalty.

its so frustrating to see hall and yak to be the only ones mixing it up at all. When this team is attacking your young guys, the team is supposed to attack back, not sit back and look for the smallest guy to hold while the other team goes after our stars.

This team needs to be way different next year.

If i have to watch smyth one more ****ing year i'll lose it. He needs to be replaced with a real third liner, not an ex first liner whos too old and slow to play a scoring role so they assume he can do something else.

We need people who aren't afraid to hit back, and get dirty. Hall and yak are a good start, but they are kids, you need veterans, people who have their back and make them feel confident. I'm not talking guys brown or hordi who get 2 minutes of ice time and the only people they fight are the other teams tough guys, i'm talking about guys like the entire western conference but us seem to have. The guys who will punish you physically for no reason, and then when you do piss them off, they come even harder.

This team is so frustrating. I know its looking like we've improved based on the standings.. but this season is really only half a season. There would be plenty of time to get back into the basement if this were the full thing.

Until this team does something that shows some improvement and desire to win like BACKING UP OUR KIDS WITH CAPABLE VETS then **** them.

We are a team full of veterans that have no idea how to lead, and kids that aren't ready to take a whole team on their shoulders.
