When the Oilers stink it up for two full periods, and have the refs blow one bloody call against them, who should you be sickened with more?

They said they weren't going to do anything to improve the team except draft picks and develop them back in 2010, and they've more than held up that promise over the last 3 years.

Doing nothing to improve a team that isn't good enough to win anything is tanking.

Kelowna/Kamloops overtime is about to start on channel 304 (for Shaw customers anyway).

Why can't we be mad about both? No one *****ing about the refs said the team played well or would have came back if not for them. There is enough fail to go around for the Oilers and NHL refs.

Look at the bright side guys. Taylor Hall and Nail Yakupov look like players who will one day will the team to the playoffs by themselves. Unfortunately, we'll have to wait yet another season for that to happen.

Hall/Yakupov are going to be two of the best wingers in the NHL. RNH is having a massive sophomore slump, but at least he's contributing defensively and generating scoring chances, he'll pull it together next season. Justin Schultz is very raw, but he's also the best offensive defenceman we've had in a while. These are the only 4 untouchables on the team IMO.

Players I want to see on the team next season: Paajarvi, Gagner, Eberle, Smid, Petry, Brown, Petrell, everyone else can **** off. Gagner has more heart than any player not named Hall/Yakupov, that alone gives him a roster spot unless a trade can be arranged for a big center/top pairing dman. Eberle I'm also willing to give a chance to bounce back, but the guy looks nothing like last season. He's making lazy plays, he's taking dumb penalties, and he's even doing the Ryan Kesler and flopping at every opportunity. If we can somehow trick a team into trading a top pairing dman for him, lets take it and run. If not, lets cross our fingers and hope Jordan Eberle shows up next season instead of this guy.

Add Seth Jones to the list of untouchables as well.

I think I've reached it...the bitterness of being an oilerfan...its like a badge...that will be with me for my entire life, even when the oilers start winning I will always have the bitterness, having witness the lowest depths my beloved oilers have walked through and knowing that I chose to walk it with them.
Thank you oilers, I truly understand the definition of failure, so now I can do the opposite of what you have showed me.
I have accepted what the reality is and now the healing can begin.

I like Hall and the way he plays, but there was no reason for that two hander. Remember, what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Is there an actual quote somewhere? I find it hard to believe they would explicitly say that. Its ridiculous.
Its a moot point anyway. They have already shown what happens when they actually try to put a team together (assuming they aren't now). They failed miserably. I don't what the hell happened to Lowe because he was pretty good before the lockout. Tambellini is dumber than a box of rocks. The hard part is done: they have Yakupov and Hall. They have the stars. It would take a real bunch of morons to NOT capitalize on that. I think we have them here.
