Maybe he was frustrated because he was one of the only 2 players on this team who gives a s***? Maybe he is finally tired of losing? I like that from Hall, He is showing emotion which frankly the whole team lacks.

I was 22. I'm 29 now... and I'll be 30 in September. The Oilers have basically pissed on an entire generation of fans. My biggest fear is that my dad is getting older (he's in his 60's) and we've never been to an Oilers playoff game together. I'd really like to take him to one...

i don't even know what to say. I've been trying to type anger/frustration/fury and i just can't seem to put it into a coherent sentence.

All i can really say that enough is enough. This team needs to get better by other means than futility. We are seriously going going to be in this for another 3 years before the playoffs and that is absolutely unacceptable.

I would like to see Hall lead like other great captains and drop the gloves when frustrated. Reckless stick swinging achieves nothing.

Not sure the "yet again" in caps is really warranted for this line. The Oilers aren't sitting in their current predicament due to the second line. The body of work from the second line this season has been more than adequate.

Hemsky needs to be removed from that line asap. He is way too casual in his approach. MPS hasn't made a play for about five games now. This line needs some Yakupov hustle. And Gagner needs someone to pass to who knows to keep his stick on the ice and/or isn't going offside on the play.

I seldom complain about reffing because it is what it is. But man oh man is it irritating when they can't even get the offsides right. We got screwed twice on that tonight that I saw clearly.

Eberle was flying out there today! Especially on the back check!

I wouldnt be surprised if there is a phone call. Hes already gotten a suspension so he won't be getting a fine if its looked at.

I like it.

He showed more emotion on that shift than the rest of the team did collectively over the course of the game.

I think that play is a non-issue if Michalek doesn't fall on the ice like Hall had just separated his foot from his leg too.

Oh please. The Coyotes have no super stars but they are not undisciplined. If you had a good GM and coach you would not be in this situation.

Its a moot point anyway. They have already shown what happens when they actually try to put a team together (assuming they aren't now). They failed miserably. I don't what the hell happened to Lowe because he was pretty good before the lockout. Tambellini is dumber than a box of rocks. The hard part is done: they have Yakupov and Hall. They have the stars. It would take a real bunch of morons to NOT capitalize on that. I think we have them here.
Sure.

There was the Katz quote that Tambo had full licence to tear it down scorched earth style.

The next two years Tambo reiterated many times that they weren't going to make any plays for big UFAs.

The track record really does speak for itself though. The only thing they've aquired is bottom pairing defensemen, 4th liners, and enforcers, none of which provide anything more than a minimal impact on winning hockey games. The closest thing to the Oilers attempting to aquire a player known as a difference maker was Smyth a couple of years ago, and there were a lot of rumors that management had to be pushed into making that deal. As it turns out, few around Edmonton knew exactly how much he had tailed off at that time, and he's now a blackhole on the ice and it's unlikely management makes any effort to replace him.

Oh give me a break Michalek sure looked fine a minute or two after that. What about the reckless boarding by Hanzal?

This isn't an autopsy. These are the fossilized remains of a once proud and successful professional hockey organization.

The culture of the team needs to be changed, plain and simple. Bring in a GM with a real game plan, get rid of the Hemsky, Horcoff, Smyth types who take losing in stride. Bring I. Guys from teams that have made the playoff consistently.(there will be lots after the buyouts) and get a "Pat Burns" type coach. A guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. (Patrick Roy??) There is way to much spin doctoring put into losses, as learning experiences.

1) It was a pretty vicious slash although Michalek made it look worse than it really was.

2) Hall is now a repeat offender.

3) Hall is an Oiler so of course, he'll get the **** end of the stick.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him suspended for a game. Not saying that he should be but i wouldn't be surprised.

Look at the replay, it was a intentional two hander. He may be suspended, no, he should be suspended.
