Ajax CB Toby Alderweireld sounds like he wants a move to Anfield:

Cue smart aleck remarks from people that Liverpool is in fact a mid-table club.

Doesn't make much sense unless Liverpool get into the CL for 14/15 season, other clubs will be after him and/or stay at Ajax and still play in the CL

If Alderweireld joins an English club, the entire Belgian NT will literally be in the EPL.

I'll rephrase: "the entire starting lineup"

Courtois (maybe even next year), Kompany, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, De Bruyne, Fellaini, Hazard, Dembele, Benteke and Lukaku. I cheated a bit, I replaced Witsel with Lukaku.

Add to that Mignolet, Mirallas and I think pretty soon Mertens. We might as well just shift the Belgian FA's HQ and national stadium to the UK (save up on those flight tickets)

Marca are reporting that Radamel Falcao is close to signing with...Manchester United. Saying United have already paid part of the transfer money.

If that's true you have to bet 2 of Rooney/Welbeck/Hernandez will be moved or Rooney becomes a midfielder permanently. Don't think this happens anyway.

I read about this via Finnish newspaper's site, but here's Marca's English site's story: http://www.marca.com/2013/04/10/en/f...365576620.html

Oh boy I feel as if this saga will last through the entire summer. Sneijder style.

Apparantly Arshavin will retire from football this summer. What a disaster his stint at Arsenal has been.

Joining the list of Freiburgers leaving in the summer should by their teenager CB Ginter. He has a buy out around 5-7 mil and the list of clubs interested in him is already pretty long with Leverkusen, Gladbach, Schalke and Dortmund keep tabs on the kid. Hopefully he either joins Kruse with Gladbach or goes to Leverkusen. He's young but he's ready to start for a club of that level and start racking up european experience.

Speaking as a Chelsea fan, I don't particularly want Falcao (I'd rather try Lukaku), but I sure as hell don't want him at United

Retire, seriously? He still has a good 5 more years in the Russian league.

Holy crap, please no Falco to United.

A report in Spanish newspaper Marca on Wednesday claimed United were in advanced talks over a deal and now there are rumours that the Colombia international could make arrive in a deal that will see Javier Hernandez used as part-exchange.
I could see that happening. Chicha's somewhat onedimensional and works best as a sub but he's too expensive/good for that role. Welbeck can be used in more roles (I wish scorer was one one of them...) and it wouldn't disturb the bench all too much.

Yep, its a good deal for Atletico too. They get to replace Falcao with a young player who is just as capable of scoring goals. Not on Falcao's level yet but he's improving every year. I'd hate to see him leave but like you said he's been more effective coming from the bench and is not as versatile as Welbeck.

Chicharito is one of my favorite players, I'd hate to see him go.

That said, if Falcao is his replacement, there's not much I can complain about.

Just like most "sources"

Personally, I don't believe anything until it's reported by official club sources, and I'm content with keeping Chicharito either way.
