Will Hall demand a trade? (2014)

If we don't make the playoffs next year, do you think Hall will demand a trade?

Losing is killing him, 4 years should have been plenty of time for management to make this team competitive, so if we miss the playoffs again next year, do you think he will want out?

I'm getting really scared of this possibility.

If they are still bad then the complete management will be gone.

yes he will, in dramatic fashion too... maybe a plane with one of the messages pulled behind or some bill-boards. maybe via an angry email.

These kind of kids are drafted number 1 overall, and are the best hockey players in the world for a reason... and it's not because they give up when things are tough.

I'm not sure how he would go about doing asking for a new GM. Talk to Katz directly?

Anyhow, I could see Hall voicing his concern if next year isn't any different. Asking for a trade though? I suppose anything is possible, but that would surprise me some.

Management *should* be fired this offseason, but they won't be. If we are still terrible next year though, I think Tambo will be let go. Lowe won't be though, he has a job for life.

The only worry about Hall is that the taint of our vets who are totally used to and accepting of losing rubs off on him.

I was being semi-sarcastic when I "predicted" he would end up demanding a trade out of town in the Rant Thread.

Lots of other horrible things would happen before this scenario plays out. Again.

he signed the long term deal because when someone puts 42M on the table you take it.

heatley and pronger also signed LT deals shortly before demanding trades. and they were on decent teams at the time too.

i see a lot of people posting no without much reasoning...so i ask you this how long would he be willing to bide his time, wait and hope that things get better? at what point would you expect him to want out?

Please? Demand a trade? He new what he was getting into when he signed that contract. This team was never expected to be in the playoffs this year, they were expected to battle for a playoff spot which is many ways they have. I would say it is safe to say this is the last year of evaluations and next years team will be built to make the playoffs. Anything less will now be unacceptable. I think we will see some considerable changes to the line up especially with the cap going down. Players are going to be moving all over the place to come into compliance circa 2005 when we picked up Pronger and Peca. Not saying we can win the lottery like that again but it will be interesting.

Exactly. Hall signed his big deal knowing damn well where the team was at.

Man, wouldn't that make a few management types awfully uneasy.

Katz,Lowe and Tambellini have a gameplan, obviously on a Jamaican pace. Maybe this is what it takes to have them start scrambling for results sooner. Their Blind Eye management technique would bite them in the arse. Tanking this year was a little unexpected. I hope they're not planning on doing the same next season as well.

He just signed on for 7 years of this last summer, I assume he has more faith in the team then to ask out that early.
