Its nice to see that he is getting recognized amoung all the other top notch goalies in the league. Its also nice to see Jagr,Nylander, and Shannahan on that list for clutch scorers. Should be a fun year

For goalies, two points get subtracted for every shootout save (the lower overall number the better). The Malik Shootout helped him out alot there. But is good to see that we have a young goalie that can play. Now the test of his second, third, and even fourth years. Here's the him being consist and and keeping this up.

The real proof will be in how he plays this year and next.

How nice would it be for the Rangers and Henrik to back that curious ranking up.

Henrik "KING CLUTCH" Lundqvist

Apart from injury I really can't see a reason why Henrik won't give us another very solid performance. The guy is there mentally. He is there physically. He's in complete control of his movements. And he's a gamer. He doesn't look like any one or two year wonder to me because I really don't see any particular weakness in his game.

True, but even if that game never goes to OT he still comes in first on that list by 20 points.

Interesting article even though I don't like using statistical methods in hockey because too much is dependant on a player's team and his chemistry with linemates. Take Jagr off Nylander's line and Nylander isn't on this list. Its good to see them get recognition though. They deserve it!

Here's one that's just as good: Gagne and Knuble make the list but their center, Peter Forsberg, doesn't.

Sooooo ... Simon Gagne and Mike Knuble are more clutch than Peter Forsberg ...

Statistics aside its just nice to see positivity towards the Rangers organization for once in a long time.

Very true, the eyes of the hockey world are very much back in NY, with not one but two of the leagues best. With the additions of Shananhan, and two of last years Champs that should only be more so the case. Add to that the prospects of Prucha and down the line Staal. There's lots to watch, here's to hoping it stays worth watching

Never thought USA sports wrote much about hockey, but they had some good stuff to say about NY. Lundqvist should have no problems being #1 in NY for years to come.

it's just a silly formula but he really destroyed the competition!!! 1.6x more clutch than Huet who is at the #2 spot. 2x more clutch than Tim Thomas at the #6 spot and nearly 3x more clutch than Marty Broduer. Again, silly formula but who's complaining? not me!

It might happen if Lundqvist is hit by a bus.

Twice.
