What position do you think we will finish league wide?

This season the furthest thing from my mind has been getting a good draft pick. Even now as the season winds down and the playoffs become a speck in the distance, I want us to accumulate as many points as possible.

It's sad, but now a victory is seeing them as far away from the bottom 5 as possible.

At the end of the year, what place do you think the Oilers will be in?

30th.

The Oilers then have their 1st overall pick taken away after other general managers complain that the draft lottery is rigged.

I think we finish 22rd to 25th but you never know with this team they could even be worse the way things are going right now.

When it's all said and done I'll say 26th. We're not going to be picking up very many wins the rest of the way.

I'm seeing a lot of losses to close out the season. Well all be wondering how we were in 8th for a day.

with the effort we're putting in, 24th. Just out of the "lottery", but still not good

I figure the Oilers go 3-5 to close out the year giving them 45 pts. In order to pass the Oilers the following teams would need the following records in their remaining games to finish ahead in the standings at either 45/46 pts depending on regulation/overtime wins: Buffalo (4W-3L), Philly (4-4), Tampa (4-3-1) and Nashville (4-3). None of these teams have easy schedules so I wouldn't expect any of them to have a record above .500.

So I say the Oilers likely stay where they are in 22nd or possibly move down to 23rd. I'd love to be wrong though; there's still a chance they could finish 26th. It was definitely disappointing to see all the Eastern teams lose tonight.

If we can at least show some fight and be close in these games that's what matters. I think everyone was happy with at least fighting in meaningful games down the stretch and we did that up until almost now. So this season has been okay but we will lose more and finish 26, if we get that pick then we have a shot at barkov.

Voted 21, and even though we've been apathetic lately (Hall and and Yakupov excluded) That's some improvement and something we should be at least a little excited about.

I assume I have to say 27th or lower, because we're doing that now, right?

My guess is 20th.

We'll need to make a trade to get into the top 6-7 at the draft. Hopefully there will be a team that likes a particular player and also wants to get to the cap floor (Nashville?). We might be able to deal Hemsky and our first (10th overall) for that pick and get Monahan.

I think we're going to be picking 6th overall...

Unfortunately, here's how I think the draft will go:

Jones
MacKinnon
Drouin
Barkov
Monahan

and whatever else is left...

Nurse is a big D but 6th is a little high for him, imo...
Lindholm is another small C
Ristolainen is a D..
Shinkaruk is a small winger/C
Zadorov is a large D..
Nichuskin is a LW...

Lots of decent players but, imo, we need to be in the top 5 to get one of the top players...

I don't think Monahan will be available after 5th...

No worries, Tambo has one specialty. I have confidence even from the 6-12 draft slot.

Can only 1 team move up, or do multiple teams have the ability to move up?

26th, and win the lotto baby! Give the rest of the league even more of a reason to hate the Oil.

Grab Drouin, move Hall to center in the fall.

Eberle,Hemsky,Smid and a first rounder in 2014 for that Shea Weber dude. If Gretzky can be traded/sold, so can Weber. Nashville would actually be better off spreading the wealth around in their lineup.

oh...and SELL THE FARM this summer. Deadwood out, new blood in.
