too late to play tonight ? j/k ... our team is obliterated with injuries ... we need another forward, but I'm not sure I want him getting destroyed (by teams that are ramping up) in a wasted season

Sounds like Bang is coming up from the Ads to play his first game.

BOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGG!

Sucks the Preds are all but eliminated from the playoff picture, but I'm excited to see what the new guys can do.

From John Glennon:

Quote:
The Predators are working toward bringing recently acquired Filip Forsberg to Nashville before the end of this season, and it’s possible he could arrive here as early as this weekend.

Whether he would suit up in games for the Predators this year or just practice and get to know the Nashville organization is not yet clear.

The 18 year-old Forsberg played in a pair of exhibition games for Sweden’s national team earlier this week. But he didn’t make his country’s World Championship tournament roster and is now free to head to North America.

The Predators were trying to arrange travel plans for Forsberg on Wednesday and may have more details on his situation Thursday.

Preds coach Barry Trotz said if Forsberg did play in North America in this season, it would be for Nashville – as opposed to the team’s American Hockey League affiliate in Milwaukee.

“I would think he would come here because that would give us an extra body,” Trotz said. “He wouldn’t have to go to Milwaukee and then get called up or anything like that because we have two emergency recalls (Austin Watson and Daniel Bang) at forward right now. So we wouldn’t have to send anyone down.”

as long as it doesnt burn a year on his ELC, I'd think it would be very useful to let him get in a couple of NHL games to see what he needs to work on over the summer

I was reading inlouwetrust.com earlier today wrt Matteau ... I believe it stated that it's 5 games this year due to reduced schedule

That is correct. Players who are on a ELC that's eligible to slide (Forsberg) can play a max of 5 games this season without giving up that right. If a player plays in 6 games, then this season counts as a full year towards the expiration of their ELC.

Great for Filip, I would appreciate if you Nashville fans keep updating about him. I'm a Leksands IF fan and think that this is really fun to follow!

How funny is the line "Is the tank game in Nashville not Milwaukee"

In swedish the definite form of thought and tank is both tanken. But the indefinite form is tanke (thought) and tank (tank) respectively. Swedish is a weird language

excuse me if you already understood this but what was so funny is we have had many discussions here about the preds "tanking" (losing to get a higher position in the draft) so when that sentence came up it was very funny

Now, this is the way we should be responding to people who make comments on our board. Kudos.

what would be hilarious is if we can beat Dallas tonight, knock off the wings Sunday and he comes here Monday and injects some life.....stranger things have happened. Could be 2 behind Detroit after Sunday. not likely, but as a fan I want to believe

Yeah, I got that. I was just trying to explain why Google Translate did that. My english isn't good enough to express everything that I want to say in the best way so I have to be pretty short-spoken. But rest assured I get your jokes
