As far as pop punk goes, Fallout Boy is far from the worst offender.

Or watch Hated, the GG Allin documentary. His music was terrible but he tops Sid in the disturbing but interesting category.

GG Allin was a psychopath, nothing short of it.

Also people shouldn't talk about Sid as being the epitome of punk. Right before he became part of the Sex Pistols he was wearing make up and dressing like David Bowie. John Lydon (Johnny Rotten) talks about it in his book No Blacks, No Dogs, No Irish which is a really good read.

Whatever that new Fallout Boy song is when they say "light up" something is is completely awful. That song is bad, and you should feel bad if you like it.

95 percent of music now is awful. I'm disgusted with all the crap like Gotye and dance stuff out there. Chief Keef, 2 Chainz, etc. are also complete trash.

I wish I could have lived in the good old days of Zeppelin, The Who, AC/DC, Hendrix, etc.

Classic rock rocks. AC/DC was about Ten Years After . Pink Floyd, Stones, Beatles, Santana, Doors, Cream, CCR, Joplin... the list goes on. Motown, popular music, blues, folk. Something for everyone. Quite a time in music.

I hate country music beyond belief. That stuff drives me crazy. Sorry in advance if this comes off as ignorant, but I can't tell the difference between most of the singers. They all sounds extremely similar. The tones are too similar. The crap they sing about is obnoxious.

Favorite driving songs (not really for girls):

There's not much rap I like, but those are great songs when you take a spin.

I also will listen to any rock song. There is tons of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Hendrix, Zeppelin, The Who, Clapton, Steve Miller Band, etc. on my phone I listen to when I drive alone or sit like I am right now.

Such a different time. My Dad has told me stories about hitch hiking to concerts, sometimes even without a ticket. He said they'd usually let everyone in for the last 2 or 3 songs when he didn't have a ticket. But overall, just spending whatever money he had on albums, hanging out and going to concerts to see all of the amazing bands back then. What a life. What a time to be young.

This. Some decades are just better than others. The late 60's/early 70's and the 90's were just better than the rest.

Yes and no. I can't help but feel this was always true until the digital age. 2000ish on up has been a disgrace to humanity. Still waiting for the next wave of great music.

Weird trivia -

Black Magic Woman which is one of my all-time favorite songs. Originally written and released by Fleetwood Mac. Never knew that until recently.

CCR, John Fogarty was born in Berkley California. Didnt know they spoke cajun there.

"Singing into a microphone and learning to play an instrument and learning to do your craft, thatís the most important thing for people to do. Itís not about being perfect, itís not about sounding absolutely correct, itís not about what goes on in a computer. Itís about what goes on in here [your heart] and what goes on in here [your head].Ē -Dave Grohl

I always think of All Along the Watchtower, which is on my top-five of favorite songs of all-time, as a Hendrix song. It was written by Bob Dylan.
