Flyers should land nurse and pulock....trade 2nd briere or prospect but land one other 1st pick before the 12th overall and we could have two great young D with 2 differente style of play!!!

Eh, there's a decent chance that someone like Hagg falls to the Flyers 2nd. I don't think we have the pieces to move from 36th or so to 12th. You'd probably have to deal Laughton, which I think most of us would oppose.

I'm opposed to making any trades to move up, unless it's in later rounds and for minor pieces. This team doesn't have the tradeable assets – ie, desired by other teams but not fitting the Flyers going forward – to make a major move and grab another 1st or even early 2nd. That window of opportunity was shut by Brière's head at practice.

Choose wisely with the picks they have and restock the Phantoms. There are too many case studies of early-round busts and late-round gems to try to move around with players who are already high-ceiling and the property of the Flyers.

Knowing us, Kane would have been outmuscled for the puck by van Riemsdyk (in a BH sweater), who roofs it on an equally stunned Leighton. Flyers fans go on a tirade about how Holmgren could have let JvR – a power forward and embodiment of Flyers hockey – slip through our fingers to get the obviously undersized Kane, especially with the stock of diminutive forwards the team already had.

Don't forget, we probably would have traded him following the 2011 season for off-ice issues.

We just need to keep loosing! Nashville and Buffalo need to put up points too, although Nashville has a more difficult schedule and seem more hell bent on tanking.

We're all hoping for Couterier to turn back into the player we thought he was. Brayden Schenn needs to spend the off season working on his skating and start finishing. We also need to land a draft pick who can contribute next year. Hopefull...
