Carey Price=Miller, Lehtonen or Luongo

wassup guyz

ive been reading your thread for the past couple of years. Im a hab fan living in vancouver, and ive been to a couple of tri-city games in which carey price played. All I can say is that the habs drafted an amazing goalie, who pretty much will be a star. I know that Pierre McGuire, from tsn has been upset for the habs not drafting bourdon, or staal, but trust me, this guy is the real deal. HE IS BIG, quick and amazing down low.

i talked to many scouts from the nhl that work for the leafs , sharks, dallas, and minnesota. All they told me is that he resembles a ryan miller type of goalie, and he should be the MAN in nets for habs in 2 years. Some other scouts compare him to kari lehtonen, while others to luongo.

hopefully, well see him in hamilton this year, and he will be the man for the habs.
I personally see a huet-price combination in 2 years. I think the habs will trade yann danis (resembmes theo a lot) and aebischer will become UFA.

Price is kind of like a hybrid of all three.

He has the size and mobility of Luongo, the flashing pads and positioning skills of Lehtonen, and the glove hand of Miller with better stickhandling then any of the three. Potentially, at least.

Welcome aboard.

I think Price will stay in the W this year because he's too young to play in Hamilton

Montreal did a good choice in drafting Price. They proved us in the past that a Goalie can win a stanley cup by himself. Price is our future, this is why Theo is gone and that we have olders goalie right now so BG is looking pretty wise at the moment

In BG we trust

Every first round pick DOESN"T become a star....

Jason Ward, Vallis, Stevenson, Hainsey...I could go on and on

I think Price is going to be a solid goaltender in the years to come.

im just curious to know if we hadn't taken price fifth overall would another team take him in the frist round? or would we be able to get him in the second round?
cause i still wish sometimes we got bourdon or staal instead since we need more defence than goaltending.

it would have been pretty sweet if it worked out for us having:
bourdon/staal, price and latendress

There is no doubt that a team would have took him in the first round. He was projected to go at around 10th if i remember right.

not to be totally negative, but he has not done near enough on the ice to warrent comparisons to a guy like luongo, or even miller. I know he is on a bad team, but at this point I am hoping for just an good junior year to build on.

Carey Price = Carey Price

Unfortunately, mathematical equations don't apply well to human beings.

Actually, this season will be his year to leave a marking on his junior career. He'll be the guy for the junior squad, he'll probably get traded to a winning club in the WHL en route to the Mem Cup, so I believe this will be the year.
