Just saw that Milwaukee picked up Zach Hamil from San Antonio.

Rask's offensive game never really developed the way anyone hoped it would. Bottom six forward in both the AHL and NHL.

I'm betting against him being a NHL player at this point.

In some ways, yes, but he's also basically a Trotz player out of the box. If he can kill penalties on the fourth line, BT isn't going to care if he never comes close to scoring a goal. Look at how long Jerred Smithson flourished here.

Smithson's offense wasn't great, I'll agree, but he had an unmatched work ethic, much like Vern Fiddler.

Milwaukee needs some players, especially forwards. They can't keep playing 8 D-men to have 18 skaters.

Exactly, he's shown raw offensive talent and the ability to be a set up guy for Cehlin, Klasen, and Puustinen among others at prospect camp in the past. Has not developed into a top-six prospect in the SM-liiga, but I also don't believe he was drafted to be one either.

Two-way player. Good skater. Will set up more than finish likely. Might be a good fit if he still has any chemistry with Puustinen or Cehlin from camp...

Joonas Rask is a career bottom 6 player in AHL and in Europe (top leagues). Second line material if he is lucky and improves. NHL: no chance.

You'll be wrong, just watch. Don't judge him only by what you've seen this season in Jokerit. I know by watching him play many season in Ilves that he has it in him.

Rask won't play this weekend. Valentine will be on the wing again.

I agree. Two goals in his first 3 games and I nearly saw him get the third in 3 games!

And go Chelsea!

He scored the first goal tonight in a 4-1 win over Grand Rapids.

If they beat Rockford tonight in regulation, they are as good as in. Chicago is falling apart and they no longer have any games in hand versus Milwaukee.

Milwaukee needs to stay out of the box. The refs don't sound like they are calling the game evenly. Bitetto needs to put the puck on goal!

I see that Shaun "of the dead from the neck up" Davis is one of the refs. No wonder that Aaron Sims is laughing out loud at some of the calls. Davis is a poor ref, even by AHL standards. Simms isn't saying which ref is calling the penalties. Milwaukee has 5 minors in the second period. Ouch!

Now 6 minors in the second period for Milwaukee. Winchester was given a penalty for getting his helmet ripped off by Kyle Beach. One more Rockford goal and I predict a brawl. The Ads must be getting tired of Beach diving the whole game and they get nearly all of the penalties. Rockford was called for 2 penalties in the second period.

2-0 Rockford, both PP goals after 2 periods.
