#SJSharks lines shuffled: 12-39-88, 13-19-57 and 15-8-9 are the top three. Fourth a combo of everyone else.
New lines.

Maybe being with two guys that skate and go hard will make Jumbo stop coasting.

It might be time to shuffle the defense too, Boyle clearly needs some help.

Stuart - Boyle
Irwin - Vlasic
Braun - Demers

Also if they'd bring Burns back:

Vlasic - Burns
Stuart - Boyle
Braun/Irwin/Hannan - Demers

Would really help I think.

Not that he doesn't deserve a demotion, but it seems like we are scapegoating Thornton. It's not like he single-handedly made them lose yesterday.

I'm not too sure if I like that Pavelski line. Looks pretty slow with no effective forechecker. I would've preferred swapping Havlat and Burns (and maybe Galiardi instead of Sheppard).

The entire D-core was bad these last few games, but Boyle and Irwin have definitely been struggling for a while now. I wouldn't even mind scratching Irwin for a game in favor of Tennyson.

Thornton was definitely not the only reason the Sharks lost, but he (and Burns and Havlat) was a big one. If he's going to be playing such sheltered minutes, he has to produce.

Also, Galiardi was not skating, according to Kurz. Maintenance day, I hope.

Pavs goes on streaks. I don't just mean goals/points, but effectiveness. He'll be solid for a couple games, then look out of sync for a couple. Might also have to do with match ups since speed isn't his forte

Edit
Also like Torres with Jumbo. He has a fair amount of skill in creating space for his teammates. Don't know how good his finishing ability is though

I wish Galiardi would get consistent ice time with consistent line mates. This last week has shown us how good he can be if given the chance. Now it looks like he's back to being a fourth line fill-in / healthy scratch. Pretty disappointing; he was starting to look like the player we played against in that first-round series against the Avs a couple years back.

Or hes sick or banged up. He will be in Sheppard's spot.

Update: Maintenance day for Galiardi, status for #SJSharks vs. DET uncertain; McLellan saw harsher practice as obstacle to 2 pts tomorrow.

Greeeaaaaaaat. Just as he was getting his groove on.

Honestly those jerseys and the ones before these new ones were pretty nice. They should have just updated the logo and and change the 3rd jersey to what it is now.

Katie Strang of espnnewyork.com when discussing upcoming rivalry game between isles/rangers and Ryane Clowe's first taste of this long standing rivalry...

"Recent addition Ryane Clowe, acquired by the Rangers in a trade with San Jose the day before the trade deadline, is anxious to experience his first taste of the rivalry.

The Sharks didn’t have a clear-cut rival in the West; the nastiness between opponents varied each year, often predicated on who was playing well that season or any lingering bad blood from a previous post-season series."

Wait. What?!? No clear cut rival? Just another example of East Coast Bias

Well who is our clear-cut rival? Ducks? Meh. Then again, Isles/Rangers aren't much of a rivalry these days.
