Agree about the Sex Pistols, they were just ok. My favorite era of punk was the late 80's early 90's. Operation Ivy, Rancid, Pennywise, Dropkick Murphys, The Vandals, NOFX, etc.

Haha. Yeah. It's pretty much the only type of music I listen to these days. Library on my computer has to have more than 250 songs of a similar style by now... I'm finding new stuff all the time.

No argument here. He definitely had the most extreme stage show though and challenged authority at every step.

I like that music talk and that it ends many times in a Black & White POV. Music is subjectiv as hell. It comes down to what you like and prefer and what you expect. When I listen to FOB, I know that those songs will entertain me and provide fun. When I hear Nickelback, yes I do sometimes, I know what I get.

Same with Metallica or others.

I don't expect great lyrics and words that will let me think about everything and get on my feelings.

Then there are songs that just get to my mind. Songs like Sideways by Citizen Cope for example or Mars Volta - Televators. Knowing the background and having a personal realtionship and memories regarding those songs, it can get emotional.

OR you have a song like Hurt... speaking about Hurt:

Cashs version or Raznors original??

Did some reading on the man after you brought it up. Rubbing feces all over your bloodied body and eating it also qualifies as the most extreme in my book.

I actually prefer Cash's cover version. (Reznor-FYI)

Cash's version is approximately 3.7x better. That's not slight against Trent though, his version is good too, but it was pretty much a perfect song for Cash.

What I love about old, classic rock is that each band had its own unique sound and identity. And when those two came together (ie. Black Sabbath+BOC) you had something magical.

Now it's just annoying, annoying, same-old same-old love story ******** that American society thinks is good.

Just got done with my stock pitch, so relieved to be done. We had Wall St. alum at the pitches but thankfully they didn't grill me like they did some other kids.

I'm in a bad mood too. Making slides for an avatar doesn't work. "Remote file is too large." **** you, no it's not. All my pictures are 125x125.

Sorry if you thought it was disrespectful, I'm a bit peeved right now, not about anything on here though.

And I think the issue is the memory size of the file. ie. 200KB, etc.

Sadly most music today is crap, synthesized and autotuned garbage that isn't music but is noise. Also today it's more about looks then talent. Adele in America wouldn't be the same star because she isn't pretty enough.

Music of the past when it was about the music is and always will be the best. I am a fan of almost all music just depending on the mood I am in. Although I will always revert back to Jazz in the end. Best music out there, music in it's truest form.

Might've made a decision on a place to buy. A two-story condo in Skokie that's dirty on the inside and has some fixing up to do, but it's been on the market for a while, has had its price slashed a number of times, and definitely is a few relatively easy fixes away from being a great place. Two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, an in-unit washer and dryer, and a lot of closet space. Aside from the cleaning and the fixing, only real downside is that it only has street parking, but probably won't be a deal breaker in that part of town.

Going to be doing some final homework on it over the next week and, if all checks out, put in an offer. Fingers crossed.

Just so you know, as a homeowner I can tell there are no easy fixes
