The 1969-70 Flyers go 17-35-24 and missed the playoffs despite losing less than half their games. In this day and age with OT and the shootout, they could have been a playoff team.

The 1979-80 Flyers go 48-12-20. Let's say the 5 minute OT is instituted for this season. The way that team was playing for over half the season, they could have won a lot of OT games. Or not.

The last time the Leafs won the Cup, in 1967, they had a streak of losing 10 games in a row during the season. How does that happen?

Not sure what happened with Calgary in 1991-'92 either. Just a mess.
