To be able to see it lol. That's the standard in soccer whenever they play on snow.

Indoor stadium right next to an outdoor stadium and neither can be used. Expect a lot of disparaging remarks from Colorado.

I don't mind because I had nothing planned lol!

Edit: To the guy above, we're playing Columbus. Tbh, I think it's better for everyone. Players will have less risk of injury and it's just safer for the fans also.

Yeah I wanted them to postpone the game but not to sunday. To several weeks later. This screws up a lot of ppl and attendance will suffer a lot on sunday IMO.

It's a shame really they cant even use the olympic stadium either.

Next seasons please never play a game in SS before May.

Would've made a lot more sense if they want a full/close to full stadium. I'm expecting like 7-8K on Sunday.

It's unbelievably stupid. They'll be able to remove the snow by tomorrow and it's not gonna be under 0 so it's going to melt. Now, you shaft everyone who planned around the game to go see it. Plus, they were talking about the "Winter Classic" all day.

Get your **** together, MLS.

Ultras better not make trouble out of this. It wasnt the club's decision, it was the MLS decision. Columbus probably put pressure on the MLS too. Impact are losing a lot of money because of this, the MLS better be the ones refunding the fans that cant make it.

I doubt they do lol. They just want the club to say what's really behind this decision (which isn't theirs anyway).

If it was fluffy snow, sure. But it's wet snow/ice pellets. I assume they would have cleaned the stands so the danger wouldn't be there but I really doubt the pitch would be in a playable state. The grass is surely super soaked with water. I agree they should have reported the game to the end of the season, or some time in the summer.

And yeah, no more outside games in April please.

Yes, I think the issue is not snow, its slush.

The temperature is already above freezing and will get decently warm. I think they think the field will be slushy/muddy enough to cause a problem.

But who can say? I just hope our group of intrepid reporters will ask the tough questions and get some good answers!

Hi, Guy Above here,

Reference was to the game played in Colorado a few weeks back with white stuff falling from the sky. Don't think anyone on the Crew is kicking about having a Friday night off in Montreal.

I agree muddy field conditions are probably what caused the game to be postponed. But is it really going to be better tomorrow?

TSN keeps on pissing me off:

De Vos' blog always focuses on TFC. I would have thought that an article on the subject of young local talent would mention the Impact's Academy (which has already produced results). But no... Shameful journalism.

If someone has a pair of tickets for tomorrow and doesn't wanna go, I'd be willing to take them in exchange for 2 tickets for May 11th against RSL (8th row, I have season tickets but cannot attend that game).

Yah and he's completely wrong when he says Bernier was the only Canadian to play in an official match last season. Ouimette played in 2 matches, don't remember for Sebrango but it was around 250 minutes of play. Plus he didn't mentionned the signings of Lefevre, Crépeau and Tissot.

An other Toronto *******.

Actually, my reading was different. He simply focused on 2012(yes he did miss Ouimette). He did not include any of the new TFC signings for 2013, nor the WC ones.

I don't get the point of doing a 2012-focused retrospective in the middle of the 2013 season, but its not pure TO homerism like we see elsewhere.

I know this is pretty last minute, but if anyone here doesn't have a ticket for tomorrrow but wants to go, I have an extra ticket. My sister is working so she can't make it. If anyone here wants it, I'm giving it away.

PM if you want it!

Remember that deVos actually played for the Impact, he's closer to the team than most.

They're getting better with hockey still individuals like dregger who are bias.

But baseball, soccer, football, basketball all they focus on are the Toronto teams and they're usually all really bad, especially the raptors.
