Ahh you my friend are wrong. I lived in San Antonio for a while, I am well aware of what a bad sunburn is all about. Like I said, get him some apple cider vinegar and tell him to suck it up buttercup!!

Goals in back to back games, and he's Evgeni Malkin. No.

I've had such a bad sunburn that when i came home my mom told me I looked like a burn victim, i know it sucks, believe me, but he's not gonna die if he plays. Rub some aloe and whatever on him, give him a painkiller, and get him out there.

Yeah, I live in FL. Sunburns are a pain in the ass. It can be difficult to sleep.

Lol, that would be hilarious.
This is a joke, right? Although having very pale complexion I feel for him because when I get a sunburn it's usually bad.

That is horrible, haha. How careless can you be to miss a game because you got sunburnt?

Is that Geno's first game in Florida or what? The next time he will sit out is because of a wrong haircut.

if he didn't sit Glass, Orpik or TK at any point in the season, he sure as hell won't sit Malkin. He's still the best player on the ice every night. Just by less than we want him to be.

From Molinari

"On the bright side, a severe sunburn might represent Malkin's best chance for an extended hot streak this season."

What an idiot, people can laugh it off all they want, yeah the team has clinched the playoffs and the division title, but if you are still a struggling player, you work hard to get back to the swing of things regardless of your team's standings.

Good to know Malkin has those priorities straight, enjoy your sunburn, moron.

While other guys are out with actual serious injuries from playing the game, he's out from enjoying the sun too much. I mean seriously...

I got second degree burns in Sarasota before. But like I said. You have to be careless. I was 14 and used spf 5 while on a beach for 4-5 hours.

Geno was obviously not paying attention

****. Meaningless? Do we want the 1 seed or the 2? I want the 1 badly and this sure as hell isn't going to help. Think Florida is just going to roll over and give us 2 points? Don't think so.

What is the timetable for sunburn recovery? Is he blistered or just very, very red? Has he started peeling? Are they treating it with aloe gel or just spraying him down with Solarcaine? The lack of information is frustrating. WHAT ARE THE PENGUINS HIDING?

Seriously, though, as a very fair skinned person I have had some sunburns that have made it incredibly painful to even move. And if you're fair enough sunscreen doesn't always keep you from getting burned. It it's his back or something I can't even imagine pads rubbing on it all night. They're probably letting him sit as a courtesy to him. I don't really see the big deal. If the Pens were fighting for a playoff spot he'd probably be playing.

I imagine the medical staff is trying different things to see if he can dress but things do get warm under all that equipment with the sweat and all. That would not feel good at all.

I too find this more than a little bit annoying. Dude's had a rough season. He needs to get his **** straight for the playoffs.

Oh well... how many days are there till the next game?
