find it funny so many of you are concerned about "crying" islanders fans. they got a point out of it, are still ahead of the us in the standings, and seriously outplayed and would have won if not for hank. i don't think they're crying about anything right now.

Yeah... we were awfully lucky to get the two points. They deserved that in regulation. I 100% agree with the Islander fans. Only the most optimistic Ranger fans who don't want to see the facts would see that we didn't have insane luck to win this.

I don't dwell on shots off posts. The best thing to do is count them as misses. Overall, they are a miss.

Unfortunately missed the game tonight. How was it? So glad Hank got his shutout.

I think Hank just implied that he was expecting Girardi to miss the net.

Rangers didn't have luck, they just had the best goalie in the world.

Two keys:

1) Rangers take the season series

2) They get a ROW

Or a save, since generally speaking, the goalie had the net covered, or the presence of the goalie cause the player to pull the shot further out.

Again, you use Sabre stats to prove a point while ignoring the ones that don't prove your point.
Hence why they are useless in hockey.

I disagree that our D was solid.

I thought they played hot potato all night with the puck and were soft on the forwards.

I thought the whole team played like crap aside from Hank
Rangers D was scattered most of the game. Some good individual effort from some of the Dmen occasionally.

But the Rangers were abysmal protecting the slot through large portions of the game. They only seemed to start settling down in that area around half way through the third period.

Hank was the reason we won the game.

Calm down. Many here thought that the Rangers were outplayed.

don't blame him at all for that, he went deep 2 mins earlier on a similar play and the isles got a good chance on the transition.
