I'd gladly face anyone in round 1 if it meant the wings missed the po's

I disagree. I realize that Detroit is playing for their playoff lives, but when the Hawks are fully vested they would just about out shoot this Team 2:1. I think they were coasting for some of the game tonight. Which is fine by me at this point in the season. Maybe "disinterested" wasn't the right word. Maybe "unconcerned"?

I just think there was a higher sense of urgency by Detroit. It won't be like that come playoff time if we meet them.

Well Toews and Kane go 1-2 always, Hossa scored, Rozy had a beauty move that went off the post/crossbar (and "won" his last SO with a no-chance move) and Saad scored. IF this is the the level of micro-criticsim were at (with the #1 seed locked up and no SOs on the playoffs) we're in good shape.

It was nice to see Saad get the "game-winner." He was in the mix all night but kind of off in execution.

saad defers too much. hopefully just because he's a rookie. he's now 1-4 in shootouts and at least 2 of those misses were after he beat the goalie but didn't elevate his shot. tonight he hit the water bottle after beating howard

Was at the game. Holy hell, was that some awful ECHL hockey until about five minutes left in the third. The ice was worse.

Will take the win and another banner. We should have a banner raising the next time we play Phoenix.

I disagree. 3 OT games and 1 curb stomping against the Wings this year, where you could argue they outplayed us in those 3 OT/SO losses.

A first round matchup with them would go 7 games.

Yep, would much rather play an up start Columbus team or even Minny, though Backstrom has our # we play well against them and generate huge scoring chances and their O plays scared against us.

Pretty sure we lost in a shootout to the Blues as well, so 2 points.

I heard Toews said Detroit sucks. Anybody got a video of it or article? That's hilarious.

Hate to see that the Wings are finally bad now and now that they are bad they go east. Really, the Wings will get their arrogant faces smashed in the east and next years. Too bad we aren't the team that blames them even more

When the chick interviewed him after the game he said "it was great when the fans started chanting Detroit sucks!" and the crowd went wild!

It's a good year to be terrible. Unlike Edmonton who tanked 3 consecutive years and got mediocre #1 picks (compared to other #1's) each time.

meh, hall is good and yakupov is still a rookie. RNH looks like he could very well disappoint though.

Ok, from what I heard it was making it sound like he said they suck. Thanks for clearing that up.

That is the only point dropped. We are 14-0-1 against Central this year.

Should have went with Seguin over Hall given that Hall's style aint going to mean longterm health

Yakupov it is far to early to say anything bad about ,, Guy has been solid as a rookie this year

RNH to me has always struck me as a 2nd line support player not a franchise player

I disagree

I think Seguin has higher upside and I don't see Hall staying healthy thru his career given his style of play

Let Seguin loose on an offensive team like Edmonton and I'm positive he could/would score 70-80 points. He's just as good a skater as Hall, but IMO has better hands, better vision and better hockey sense.

Taylor Hall's the better all-round goal-scorer, but Seguin takes the cake pretty much everywhere else.

I think the Taylor/Tyler debate will go on for years. They're both quality players. The only thing that may slow Hall as he matures is that he has been injury prone.

Edmonton is Columbus north. Three straight #1 overall picks plus another lotto pick in Gagner and they still suck...except against the Hawks. At least the Hawks turned it around with one #1 and Toews.

As far a man-child goes... AWESOME.
