LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.

If Price doesn't let those two stinkers in, the game would've been a lot more different. I'm not worried about this team, especially considering the fact that they went on a hot streak right after they had their rears handed to them months ago by the Laffs.

For whatever reason we have crap luck against the Leafs. Now, add to that these games are snoozefests, and I think we'd be better off playing someone, anyone else (well, except maybe the Islanders) in the playoffs.
If the Habs treated Habs/Leafs games like the Leafs do it might become more of a rivalry than it is right now. The Habs seem to treat a Leafs game like it's just another NHL game whereas the Leafs come out like the game is their Stanley Cup. A Habs/Bruins game is 100x better than a Habs/Leafs game.

If you were given the choice between buying out Kaberle and buying out Gionta for cap compliance, who would you pick for that purpose?

Hate? He played poorly. It doesn't mean he's a bad goalie, but he sucked tonight. Stop protecting this guy.

When it became 5-1 early in 2nd both teams just played it out, evenly, but both knew it was over.

Ponder this - Budaj should be considered over CP for possible starts in playoffs

Gionta is trade-able, Kaberle is not.

Travis "the ghost" Moen is incredibly desapointing, just a passenger 90% of the time.. He sucks bad..

Desharnais sucked but Eller wasnt any better.. both sucked.. We were physically dominated in this game.. Gionta was total crap, our D is missing Emelin badly..

Anyway, the good news, the Bruins lost as well..

Hopefully we win the division cause I wouldnt bet 1 penny on our chances against the Leafs in the first round..

Kaberle, ten times out of ten.

Gionta still brings value to the team in the dressing room. Kaberle is of no importance, sitting in the stands and wolfing down hot dogs.

It's these types of comments which bother me.

How is Price held to an impossible standard ? He's paid like a top 3 goalie in the NHL and he has a **** save % of 0.912 playing behind a top 3 team in the conference. Expecting better than that is not "impossible standards".

I'd rather play Kaberle than Beaulieu or Drewiskie.

I know this team is doing well and all, but I seriously hope Bergevin beefs this team up.

Emelin is gone and so is our hitting game.

This made me lul..
I don't know where Carey was tonight, but I'm not mad
If Boston did this to us I'd be pissed, but the Leafs have been out of the playoff picture for most of the last 10 years.. I really don't see them as much of a rival
Maybe it's just me,,

You can still trade Gionta. Kaberle wasn't even worth a waiver pick up.

I don't disagree. And I was very much against his contract term and figures but you have to concede that not many teams play with as open a style as we do. Pinches and swarms all around, all game. It leads to very juicy chances against - goals which mess up a sv% easily.

We can agree on that, right?

honestly, it's like the habs got dragged into this leafs rivalry circle jerk. the whole city has a massive erection because they're making the playoffs for the first time in a decade and somehow we have to play their nemesis. let them play boston and let both teams pound the **** out of each other

Thanks guys. It was a head-scratchingly weird game from Price, but the goals count just the same. The other thing I find odd is why so many Leafs fans imagine there's such a huge, hateful rivalry with the Habs. The silly name-calling seems a bit forced. I guess every team has its immature fans.

But I have no problem losing to a gracious winner. Cheers.
