Who would you rather?

Who would you rather see in the 1st round:

Toronto vs Montreal
or
Ottawa vs Montreal

I really wouldn't mind playing anyone else if it could mean the Leafs play the Habs in the 1st round. I just really want to see that series.

Am I alone in this?

That would mean we would play either Pittsburgh, Boston or Washington (possibly Jets)...which I don't mind.

Nia Long.

Oh wait...hockey, right.

I'm OK with anyone we face but a TML vs Habs series would be very exciting, good for both teams and good for the NHL. Could really re-ignite the rivalry to a level it hasn't seen in a long time.

I'd rather the Sens clinch first.

My friend is a huge Habs fan, so Ottawa-Montreal.

I've always wondered what a Sens vs Habs playoff series would be like.

If Winnipeg can surpass Washington I'd love to see the Sens and Jets. So I guess in this scenario I would love a Leafs/Habs first round.

7 road games.

Seriously, we haven't clinched yet.

Lets just look at it one game at a time until the playoffs are here. I would rather us beat Boston thoroughly on monday and go on a five or 6 game win streak.

If we finished 1st or 30th I'd still wonder what it would be like, wasn't suggesting anything else.

The second comment was more directed at the thread in general.

Not sure.

Would be great to beat Toronto, but if they beat us they wouldn't shut up about it for a decade.

No Karlsson, no Cowen, possibly no Spezza. If we lost to Toronto in the first round, we'd never hear the end of it and if we brought up the pieces we're missing, they'd just laugh it off.

Give me Winnipeg, please.

I want Montreal seeing as I live there but it would be tough to cheer for the Sens amongst a bunch of drunken idiots. I would probably just invite people over to my place. But yeah, it's about damn time these two teams met each other in the post-season.

I want none.

Honestly, with the crap season it has been injury wise, I'd rather have a lesser pressure opponent for the first round. Then if we pass them, bring on anyone!

Let Toronto and either Boston or Montreal beat the crap out of each other in the first round.

If we make the playoffs, I'd rather start off not playing a rival.

Would suck to lose in the first round to a "meh" opponent though and miss out on some great rivalry building series.

I find the local versions of both fanbases terribly insufferable. Without our big guns, I don't want to play either Toronto or Montreal.

Having Toronto and Montreal play each other is also a "lose" scenario for me. It means one of them is getting to the second round.

I want to see the kind of circus a Leafs-Habs series would give.

We have a tough schedule to end the season and the isles, rags and jets all on our tail.

We need to keep winning.

I think our best case scenario is to finish 6th and play the caps.

I want to see Toronto vs Boston because Toronto also struggles with Boston, the sooner they are eliminated the better.

I want to see Toronto play the Penguins in round one, and get thoroughly smashed.

Then Boston vs. Montreal, hopefully with Gallagher getting run over by Chara a couple of times.

As far as the Sens, let's just make the play-offs first. I'll worry about match-ups after we clinch.
