Dubi was never a good figher (unless Mike Richards was somehow involved) but I always admired his courage.

Loved Charlie Coyle as a prospect. If there was any prospect I wish we had, it's him.

I liked that about Brandon. Good for him, great attitude.
He chooses to fight and stand up, even though he knows he is not a great fighter.
That's the stuff I admire.

If you take many people seriously, you would almost think that a player somehow has to 'rank' as a lightweight, a middleweigt, or a real heavyweight....ooo
Screw all that classification stuff. Be a fighter in your head and your heart. That is what hockey is, guts. Just fight when you get pissed off at the other team doing crap.

Dubi was always the first one in to stick up for teammates and that's what I miss most about the guy

That's not the first time Dubi sticks up for Arty either, he always watches his back on the ice, I'm sure he will protect Gabby no matter what too. That doesn't show up on the score-board but is crucial to a win no hockey team. You got have fight. OT but I'm very pissed at Nash. Tonight he finally got caught dogging it by a player with exceptional iq in Tavares. So what it didn't go your way Rick? Why dog it coming back in the NZ? Tavares easily blew by him, stole the puck, and almost scored glove high in the third period. That's not winning hockey Ricky.

Dubi and Richards would end up fighting even if they played for the same team.

Must be still using them long sticks...Torts is the best for teaching the art of redirecting the puck . Rangers must lead in that category...now if only we could lead in retrieving it successfully .

Weird how his 'weak/sore shoulder' doesn't seem to be inhibiting his goal scoring in Columbus....

Central is as good as the Atlantic. Others said this when they showed every week the Rangers, Flyers, Penguins, and Devils. I like getting to see the went more often on NBC. Get a look at some players we have not seen this year.

Love watching a guy like Sobotka play. Always is visible on the ice. Felt that way when he played in Boston. Their 4th line looks good too. I'm expecting them to make a run this year to the WCF.

Gaborik has the same number of goals and assists in his career as of this point:

336 goals, 336 assists.

Oilers' management throws those kids out on the ice without sufficient veteran leadership to help them through their growing pains and teach them how to win. Ryan Smyth, Eric Belanger and Nikolai Khabibulin, at the stage in their careers, don't inspire much confidence to affect the game when the youngsters struggle. Edmonton is almost the complete opposite of Detroit in how they handle their prospects.

Not surprised to see Dubinsky standing up for a teammate.

I'm sorry, but it is quite clear that Gaborik was dogging it here. Not once all season did we see that type of speed from him, and not once did we see him drive to the net like that. I like our chances more in the playoffs without the team feeling like they need to feed him the puck.

I love the intensity of the Blues Hawks game. Old time hockey.

Gabby was put on a leash by Torts. No patience with him, even his shooting rate was the same as it was the past few years, just little puckluck.

How do our playoff chances improve? We traded away our best scorer from the playoffs last year on a team that blows chunks at scoring goals.

I can't wait til the 1rst round exit where people will start to dog on management for trading Gaborik. Maybe then we'll realize what a big mistake they've done.

We have, more or less the same team we had last year now with the deals. Brassard instead of Anisimov, Clowe instead of Dubinsky, Nash instead of Gaborik.

It stinks that Marian is playing better for our soon to be rivals, but what should we have expected? He got sent to a lower pressure environment, with good old teammates/friends, and got the monkey off his back the first game.

His whole career Gaborik was "the guy." He wasn't this year with Nash, and now he is"The guy" again and is faring very well.

Some of the comments Gabby made after he was traded about how it was nice that Columbus really wanted him lead me to believe he was unhappy about no longer be "the guy" here. This season was the first time in his career that he was on the same team as another elite scoring threat. Maybe he wanted a little ego-stroking or something.
