Good article. The following quotes from Crawford should help ease the minds of those who fear that he'll ride Cloutier and never play Garon:
Quote:
"Dan's going to play a little more than Mathieu but it may be 1a and 1b and a half," said Crawford. "Garon is a great goalie, too, and the real bonus in all this is that we've got a guy who's sitting there behind Dan who has won 30 games.

"We've got so many games out here where you're playing fatigued. Those third in four nights with travel, those back-to-backs with Dallas which is crazy because of the travel. We're going to be able to put in a goaltender that can win a game in the second night and that will hopefully allow us to get a few extra points."

Thats what I like to hear. I predict Garon steals the #1 spot away from Cloutier by the all star break. We can finally see what Garon is capable of doing with a good defense in front of him.

Well, if Crawford's being genuine, it won't be much of a leap for Garon...from 1b and a half to 1A.

I liked this one:

Quote:
Everybody wants to get the most out of Sean. He's a very good player. He's got to be a great teammate.
Do you think he meant that Sean is already a great teammate (based on the Roy quote a little later), or, that because he is such a good player he needs to also learn to be a great teammate?

God I hate Crawford so much.

Anyhoo, Crow really seemed to only hate European backups, so I think Garon will actually get some playing time this year, so hopefully they battle it out, and the best goalie gets the top spot.

*runs off to Canuck-land*

Crawford did alot for the Canucks when he was here. Its not entirely his fault the team didnt play to their potential. I wish him the best of luck in LA.

"I am very much a Dan Cloutier guy," said Crawford.

You live by the sword, you die by the sword.

Clouts is Crawford's guy, I won't believe otherwise until I see it.

There aren't going to be many teams who would be interested in Labarbera, but if someone is willing to claim him off waivers, that is a $750K cap hit removed from the Kings roster.
