Forsberg on the ice for morning skate. Looks like Hornqvist is the latest to come out of the lineup (you know he's battling injuries the way he plays) and Forsberg will skate with Legwand and Beck today.

This is not going to set him up for failure. This prime, no pressure time to get some NHL time, practice, prepare for next season. This is the PERFECT spot to prepare him for.

Also you need challenges to scale your ability to succeed.

Forsberg brings some sort of excitement for the team in a nationally televised game. This team has lost 5 in a row and needs some kind of spark and hope for next season.

There is a Yahoo / AP story that confirms this.

Yes it's a bit of a rush, but players are dropping like flies. An extra body in itself it's needed badly. There is no pressure whatsoever the rest of this season.

Gathering together all the tweets from the morning skate, Forsberg is staying as a guest at Hornqvist's house right now. Said he didn't feel any jet lag and is excited to be playing on the first line tonight in his debut. Trotz said that he's impressed with Forsberg's makeup in terms of how he carries himself and understands the concepts and confirmed that Forsberg will be 100% in the lineup tonight.

Hornqvist is out the next two games with an upper body injury...

This. The thing to worry about is not about Forsberg, but about fans setting expectations about Forsberg based on his play this season. I wouldn't go quite so far as to say "ignore everything you see out of him", but certainly it shouldn't carry much weight.

Hornqvist is the perfect player for him to stay with, not just because of nationality. Hopefully some of hornys work ethic rubs off on Forsberg and boosts his confidence.

Looks like he's on the top line, and top power play line, so I'd say so...

Good luck and keep your head up. Kronwall is on the same side tonight if I'm not mistaken? So i strongly suggest that it's bad idea to stare at the ice tonight. (which he sometimes has a tendency to do)

Really excited to watch Forsberg play. I've watched him play in Leksand all season and I think he'll be a good one down the road. I have ZERO expectations on him this game but he has surprised me before.

I had high expectations, and they were met... he has great vision, and doesn't make the same stupid passes that 17 of his teammates constantly make. Problem is, he has no one to pass to...

Made one amazing move, and got one nice shot. Was a -2, and neither was directly his fault.

Not sure why he's playing right now, but can't help but smile towards the future.

One was definitely on Mueller, can't wait until he's back in the AHL permanently ... who the funk just gives the puck directly to the opposition behind the face off dot ... effing horrible

Kinda unrelated to this thread, but for some reason I'm surprised Hornqvist has a house. I picture him living in some semi-squalid bachelor pad condo with clothes all over the floor or something. I have no idea why.
