Alt won it for the Phantoms in the shootout. I think the shootout went to the 15th or 16th round.

Noebels had a sick move. Who scored the tying goal?

That was sick. Cousins and Laughton tried to do the same move, but Alderson's move was damn good too.

Alt had a pretty solid game. Two games, two solid games. Made one mistake I can remember where he tried to go up the ice and dangle around players but lost it.

i know i've only seen him in one game but i'm impressed by him and i think the AHL will do him a lot of good. i'm really liking this trade cause pither had no future here, was signed out of free agency and paul flipped him for a former 2nd rounder who's 2 yrs younger. i don't know if he'll ever turn out but i feel like he has the tools to be better than Lauridsen at the very least. i realize that's not saying much but still

RT @WharnsbyCBC: #Pens will sign UFA Quinnipiac G Eric Hartzell, a Hobey Baker candidate.

Welp.

I'm pretty sure they don't have any minor league goalies under contract for next year. I guess that's the reason for picking them.

Another reason apparently is because the Penguins are signing him for THIS season. Which means he's already up for a contract in 3 months. Most guys get ATO's. He's going to get the money. Would be naive to think that was the difference though.

Yeah I didn't read much into it. I would say the money is the main reason then.

I thought we didnt either....

He is getting a contract and then is a RFA. Oh well. I guess the Phantoms are most likely going with Heeter/some vet again.

Pittsburgh: Fleury, Vokun, Zatkoff
Philadelphia: Bryzgalov, Mason, Heeter

Pretty much the same amount of guys signed for next year.
