I'm looking forward to the Team GB match today, a nice treat that the game is being televised live in the UK. Looking forward to the Top division world champs next month too, got my tickets and travel sorted for two QF's, both Semis and the Final. Despite the negativity surrounding this tourney in North America, as a European hockey fan, last year I also went to the tournament and got to see guys like Chara, Ovechkin, Datsuyk, Malkin, Zetterberg, etc, which doesn't happen too often over here, so it's always worth the effort.

In division 1B:
Poland beat Lithuania 5-0 which was very much expected, but a huge surprise that Estonia almost got a point against the Netherlands. They lost 5-4 but was in lead 3-2 and had 4-4 until 6 min left.

It looked like the Netherlands just aren't taking them seriously as they didn't even bothered shooting on net for the big part of the game. Don't know if they were that confident in their ability to score if needed or just didn't prepare for the game mentally but lack of effort was more than evident.

Considering that of our top-9 forwards we have one or two, 5-0 is actually a pretty good result.

Mikhnov and Blagy just scored back to back to extend the lead to 4-0 over Romania. Amazing pass by Bondaryev from his knees on the Mikhnov goal.

Funniest part is that with current decline of Ukrainian hockey, he would of made even Ukrainian roster.

There seems to be strong interest for the national team in Hungary, that's nice to see. 7304 spectators.

Definitley the hockey interest is growing, they are at my top list of countries who will probably be regulars in Elite division in 5-7,if the interest is there, improvements will come surely.

I have noticed that there are a lot of young interesting Hungarian players currently playing, so I definitely wouldn't be surprised in the next 10-15 years if we see a Hungarian player drafted into the NHL.
