Also, the blow of dealing #27 and his hands was softened a bit by getting this guy in return, or at least the thought of what this guy might become:

And just think we actually had our choice of that guy (Balej) or Tomas Plakanec in that deal. We really nailed that one.

It's hard to believe I was writing for this site 10 years ago. JFC.
Man time flies, I am not sure if I posted at this place but I wrote many reports on Prucha. And let me tell you, he had a fantastic career in Europe in many ways. He as 1-2 non-NHLers where the only players that made extremely strong Czech rosters for international tournaments. Prucha was awesome in EHT and WCH tournaments. But, he never scored alot in the Czech league, except the POs.

He never really made it in the NHL, but he was really clutch. A little too weak though, and maybe a little bad luck etc.

Not as much as what you DONT know
OH! BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE!
Also it's "my first articles for the site WERE" . (Just thought if I was going to do a ****** post I had to go all the way and be a grammar nazi. I'm just playing around though)

You blow my knowledge away that's for sure though I may disagree just because whats the fun in agreeing all the time especially when it comes to projections and opinions

Pittsburgh apparently wanted Prucha in 06-07. Kevin Stevens was a scout for them. Brooks was tight with him from when Stevens played for the Rangers. Larry wrote the Penguins and Rangers were discussing a deal with Prucha going to Pitt. Malone was coming to the Rangers. Malone had 1 year left on his contract before being a group III. Orpik and Rachunek were also mentioned. Orpik was also going to be a group in 2008. Malone and/or Orpik would have been ideal looking back now. Prucha wasn't the same player when the Rangers signed Shanahan. Prucha lost his time on the PP. Different dynamic.

I just can't believe it has been this long. I honestly thought I was writing here only about 5 years ago. ****, man. I feel old as ****.

Taking Orpik away from the Pens may even have taken their last Cup away.

All three of Talbot, Mission and Stajcer had solid to good sessions. Given that we have Lundqvist, I think our G depth is fine. We will not get a better prospect than these guys with our picks especially considering that our first two selections are gone.

Nope. Prucha would have turned into a 50 goal scorer in Pittsburgh.

But The Post has learned the Rangers are not content with what might be termed as a rearrangement of the deck chairs on the S.S. Minnow. Rather, sources report that management this week has intensified efforts to reacquire Martin Rucinsky from the Blues while also engaging in protracted conversations with the Penguins, believed to be focused on top-six winger Ryan Malone, and perhaps on physical defenseman Brooks Orpik as well.

And it appears sophomore winger Petr Prucha, who slipped from a first-period assignment on the first line to a spot on the fourth unit as yesterday's match evolved, is being dangled.

A third-party personnel source revealed the Rangers were willing to send Prucha and Adam Hall to the Blues in exchange for Rucinsky, but were rebuffed. When St. Louis president John Davidson in turn requested highly-regarded 20-year-old center Brandon Dubinsky as the bounty for Rucinsky, the conversation came to a halt.

Talks are ongoing with the Penguins, who had GM Ray Shero scoping out the Rangers' game on Thursday against the Senators, and then sent two pro scouts to yesterday's match
http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/range...YPTIekTkMYyVRI

Then Sather swapped Hall to Risebrough for Dupuis. They should have kept Dupuis. Sather moved Dupuis and a 3rd in 2007 to Atlanta for Alex Bourret. Then Bourret was swapped to PHX for 3rd in 08(Kundratek).

Kevin Stevens was one of those pro scouts for Pitt.

My friend just read me a tweet by Dylan McIlrath that he walked by the finish line at the Boston marathon 10 minutes ago.

That would be pretty typical Ranger now wouldn't it. Thank god he's alright.

Lindberg had an assist on the GWG in tonights win 2-1 in the finals, game #3. OL drove towards net from the left, fired a shot, goalie deflects the puck and OLs linemate scored on the rebound. I think you've heard of the linemate before: Viktor Arvidsson. Skelleftea now leads 3-0 in best out of seven.
I see you also discussed Joakim Eriksson. He got to work a lot more tonight, than previous games in the series. Some really nice saves by him tonight.

Thanks for the update.

I'd be pretty upset if Eriksson didn't sign here. We can simply say 'look at what we did with Lundqvist, than can be you'.

I updated the stats in the first post. I decided I will go ahead and track playoff stats for the NA Pro prospects (Hartford, Greenville).

Also, I eliminated the tables for the prospect development camp guys. It just became too much data for me to update regularly. I think next year I'll do a separate thread on those guys that I'll update once a week or so, rather than nightly (or morning-ly, lol). Sorry to anyone who enjoyed following those guys.

HF gave Conor Allen and Tommy Hughes prospect grades. They're listed as 6.5 C and 6.5 D, respectively. No actual write-ups on them yet. Links to the profiles are in the first post, last column of the tables.

Saik!!!!!!!!!

Skellefte!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Osc is a beast. i´ll miss Osc in SEL. along with a bounch others, but him most. Unfortunatley ( & hopefully he land in NY) they will go into the playoffs in the future as well, so he will not be in the Swedish World tounaments though.

Doesnt he have 3 (or at least2 GWG just in this final?) Beast!

Skelleftea up 3-0 through 2 in game 4 of the series. Lindberg with an assist (and apparently tons of chances according to the live reporting).

The wait is over. Lindberg wins Stefan Liv MVP award !!! Great honor for a young and gifted player. Now bring him over and hopefully Torts doesn't harness his creativeness and ruin him. LGR !!!
