The rest of your opinion notwithstanding, how do you think the Sedins can eat FF alive? They don't play defense. They don't hit. I guess if he were a defenseman I could see the trouble, but he is a winger.

I just do not understand, at all, the issue with him playing in the NHL.

Are people afraid his feelings will get hurt or something?

I don't understand.

Forsberg looked really good out there tonight. Created tons of chances and really was a bit unlucky that he didn't pickup a few points.

Well..those Sedin's really crushed Forsberg on the ice tonight. I'd be surprised if he has the confidence to play another game at this level.

Let's be honest, he looks better than most of the call-ups (outside of Beck, perhaps). We're basically playing a 2nd line, 3rd line, and two 4th lines. We're about 1 line/d pair away from BEING an AHL team. Sending him to Milwaukee would do nothing for him or for us. Even if it's just for a few games, see if he can get comfortable, get to know the team, the coaches, and the atmosphere. Maybe he'll develop a little bit of chemistry out there.

I'm happy with what I've seen. It actually makes the pain of such a bad season more bearable.

Well he has been in NA for 3 days and almost never been playing och small ice surface. With a real pre season and a year in AHL/NHL I think he will be a great player for you guys, these few games are just for experience.

He had a wrister coming down the left side that I thought was in against the Nucks. Considering he is probably still getting over the jet lag and is playing on a different sized pond with all new players and systems...yeah I think he's doing fine. And it's FLIPPER; not FF9. If we're going to stick with FF9, I'm just going to start calling him Vivi and bring cutouts of pixelated Final Fantasy Black Mages to the games.

That would be pretty awesome actually.

Glad I'm not the only one who reads FF9 as Final Fantasy 9.

I, however, have no idea what anyone is talking about (other than it's a video game?), or what that thing is.

FF9 stands for Final Fantasy 9, an installment in a popular video game series. The picture everyone is posting is of a character in Final Fantasy 9 (and kind of a mascot of the series)

What if every time Forsberg scored they played the Final Fantasy victory theme?

There would be a whole lot of us with blank, w t f looks on our faces...

And on a related note, how can anything with 9 installments(more?) still call itself "final" anything???

Yup
I could not resist posting after the homeristic reactions to my bringing this subject up yeaterday. The AD's making the playoffs is important to the development of the young guys. Much more so than skating against NHL players and not being able to compete like the past couple nights.

Agreed. Preds are done. We should put all we can behind the minor league team right now.

Is Flip (not FF9 - doesn't slide nicely off the tongue, and I'm not a video gamer) eligible for the AHL playoffs?

He could be but if im not mistaken it would effect his EL year. Maybe im wrong but either way it would be good experience for him and only pay dividends next year. If he is the player we all hope he is its not going to matter we would need to sign him long term and the earlier the better.

Unless Fisher, Horny, Yip and/or Klein are back to full strength then there will be a couple of them back by Fri. We simply don't have enough on the roster otherwise. I would rather they play in Milwaukee, most of them aren't capable of playing NHL. But we also have to dress 18 for a game. So before making some off the wall comment about homeristic replies, do the math.

That would be your problem then. Every young person would get it whether they play games or not. (Assuming they know we call him FF9.. Doubt it sticks)
