In my usual pessimistic view, this is bad since the Devils get loss leading to a higher pick and will draft Drouin to replace Parise.

As long as the Devils miss the playoffs and don't get a high draft pick, I'm happy.

Anyone subscribe to news day? Saw this and very intrigued...

Quote:
Nassau County received four proposals to redevelop the Nassau Coliseum as a deadline passed Monday for requests for proposals, county officials said.
The bidders include Syosset developer Ed Blumenfeld, who said he submitted a plan to build a scaled-down arena to replace the current 16,000-seat Coliseum, and the Madison Square Garden Company, which owns the New York Knicks, the New York Rangers...

So much for last year's fluke run for the Devs.

It's weird hearing Joe Micheletti do non Rangers games. He's doing the color on the Hawks/Stars game right now on NBC Sports.

Yeah, Devils better not be drafting in the top 7 or so. No more offensive wizards in this conference please.

It would be just the Devils luck to only have to endure sucking for a shortened season and somehow end up winning the lottery and drafting the next generational talent. Bad things do not happen to that team.

When do the Devils have to forfeit their 1st round pick? They should have done it last year at 29.

All the cheap, dirty, deflection, around the net goals just ain't happening this year. Sorry Newark. Another year or two like this and their arena will be half empty again.

It's becoming clear that it will be the 2014 pick. Unless Lou wants to troll the franchise on his way out.

Which basically means that David "Stud" Clarkson's numbers have rocketed back to Earth.

Still don't get why they wouldn't forfeit the #29 pick. Has Lou gone senile?

His place of birth is pretty inconsequential to me. I enjoy watching him play hockey.

I love watching him play too. I just wish that he was on the American squad. USA is weak at center.
