I remember hating Brett Clark and I was really happy when Atlanta selected him

David Ling could win easily, but he only played a few games...

i also remmember hating Igor Ulanov... but Juha Lind and Traversse are pretty bad... If Dagenais would have played all his career as he played last season, he would have won hands down...

Sorry to disagree here, but try to find another player with stats like
gm g a p PM
98-99 Montreal Canadiens NHL 46 0 0 0 29 -- -- --

and he was a forward! Even Mike Vukota, Steve Martinson, Jeff Brubaker and so many other useless goons had better season.
Not all forwards are there to put up points. For some, like Begin, Murray and McCleary, points are a bonus. So I find it unfair if you're basing your opinion on Trent based on his lack of offensive stats.

If he was such a worthless player, he wouldn't currently be a member of the Habs scounting staff.

Robert Dirk.

Couldn't turn, left or right, without almost falling on his rear.

Couldn't skate either.

Why being a fringe NHLer should absolutely be an end to your scouting carreer?

He's certainly not the worst Habs ever, not even the worst of that edition but he wasn't a good hockey player(at the nhl level). Some people remember McCleary as a stand out... He did stand out a little, this edition was so gutless he was almost the only one who showed some effort on most night. He had a big hearth with some very limited skill.

My vote goes to Jim Montgomery, he was as bad as you can get. He was the guy we got for Carbonneau, the team collapsed from that point...

Traverse, worst I ever saw with my own eyes.

I went to a game once and sat down next to a woman who claimed to be his roomate years ago. She said he was a bit of a dufus. I woulda NEVER imagined.

David Wilkie, Robert Dirk, and very honorable mention to Murray Baron.

We didn't see much of him here but Vokoun sucked big time here...

Patrick Traverse wasn`t that bad. He played well with The bruins too.

The worst BY FAR has to be defenseman Gerald Diduck! He was so bad, the fans ran him out of town! ....and he wasn`t even french!

If my memory serves me correctly, Brett Clark was really impressive up to the point where he had a concussion. Then he became a turnover machine.

As for bad players, go back 6 years and take your pick.

Trevor Linden for biggest dissapointment....expected much more from him...perhaps too much...

another one...not sure if the guy was any good but the player who wore #3 and played all of what one shift? got in an accident on the ice and never played again

i didnt see him play but shouldnt Andre "Red Light" Racico be on this list? I mean if your a goaltender and your nickname is red light your in trouble...

Overall a line-up like this, is quite a nightmare

Lind - McCleary - Danny Geoffrion

Barry Richter - Larry Trader

Les Kuntar
