Anyone have a video for Eller's slashing major at the end of the game?

I wouldn't mind seeing this incident too if someone can get it, the NHL Gamecenter feed had it off screen so all I got was Clement's run down of events and then the feed went to the rather emphatic 'THIS GAME HAS ENDED' screen.

Luke or Jake could have received a star also. What can you do?

Don't have a video, but I did see it, and rewound my feed to see it again. Eller and Gus were tussling a little heading to the bench, and Eller turned and took a big swing at Gus. It was a hard swing, and it was pretty high. Glad Foster saw him and tackled him

Doesn't matter that we won. This team is pathetic.

If there was ever a game to goon up in, this was it.

So much dirty, dirty actions out of MTL last night and we did basically nothing.

Pathetic and embarrassing.

Literally embarrassed to be a Flyer fan right now.

They embarrassed the Canadiens by scoring 7 goals. Foster stood up for Huskins. I'm not mad about it.

Nope, not an elbow. It looked more like a drive-by shoulder to the jaw. Huskins wasn't in the best position to take a hit, but under the present rules it's not his responsibility to. White could have crushed Huskins right in the logo, but only clocked him on the button for no good reason.

Foster tackled White and Eller after their dirty actions. Hartnell stood up for Briere by going after Plekanec, and Rosehill took a retribution run at Pacioretty too. Someone stood up for Fedotenko too when he was hit by Galcenyuk

Which game were you watching?

Like others, I disagree completely. Retribution on the scoreboard and with dropped gloves. Step back from the edge a bit.

Matt Read was really quiet last night. I don't think I remember hearing his name called.

What I don't understand is that White got 5 for fighting and a match penalty, but there is no initial penalty for the elbow/charge/etc. On the same play, Foster took a 5 for fighting, 2 for instigating, 2 for instigating with a shield and a 10-min misconduct, meaning the Flyers were on 4 min of PK after having their player knocked out with a cheap shot.

EDIT: But this doesn't correspond with the penalties. Flyers were on the PK 5 times in the 1st, both teams got 2 PPs in the 2nd, and there were 3 Flyer PPs and 1 Canadiens PP in the 3rd; however, 2 Flyers (Foster and Rosehill) took double minors, so I guess that counts as 2 penalties. By my count (and counting the aforementioned two double-minors as a single PP each), it should have been 7 Canadiens PPs and 5 Flyer PPs.

Eller also took a 5 and a game at the 20-minute mark of the 3rd for his two-handed swing.

http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/scores/boxscore/?id=17579
Many errors remain. Someone in the NHL needs to check what happened last night in Montreal because the statistical input is beyond questionable. The multiple errors in the box score were only partially fixed.

Also have Hall and Fedotenko as a -3 which I don't think is correct.

18 A. Hall R 0 0 0 -3 0 2 09:48 02:00 03:02 14:50

At last check, they have three PPGs listed here for the Flyers and zero for Montreal under "Scoring Summary."

http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/boxsco...?id=2012020626

Yet, here, the amendment on PPGs was changed to 2-for-6 for each team:

http://www.nhl.com/scores/htmlreport...3/GS020626.HTM

It appears the off-ice officials fixed some of the input but there are conflicts with the official numbers.

How can two guys be -3 in a game where the opposition only scored 1 ES goal.

(EDIT: and no SHG, obviously)

Good question and the simple answer is flawed numbers. My assumption is that the off-ice officials did not credit Montreal with powerplay goals and without that notation the Flyers' players on the ice received a "-" in the +/- column. There are two links placed in the above post. One appears to be corrected but not the other. Last night, they had the Flyers' PP at 2-for-11 and after the game changed other items such as Schenn's playing time. If you look at the links above, there are disputes within the numbers including the note of PPGs listed next to the names of the scorers.

Sorry, I didn't mean it as a theoretical matter.

Montreal had three goals last night--two on the PP and one at ES.

How can the scorekeeper end up with anyone at -3?

Oh my bad lol. No idea. Maybe the scorekeepers were watching the same game the refs were: aka not the game being played.

The scoreboard and pts meant literally nothing.

MTL could care less about those 2 pts and the points mean nothing to us.

Outside of the Rosehill and Foster what did the rest do?

Little to nothing. I don't count a few wimpy ass "nooges" as retaliation.

Where was Jake? Does the guy only get pissed when people hit Roo?

Where was the Simmonds from last year that took no **** from people?

Where was B. Schenn?

Overall the teams response was lackluster.

They should have all be finishing every check and pounding in faces.

I don't understand fans like you. Like everyone else has said, we stood up for out players last night. This isn't the 70s. Lavy isn't going to send out a line full of goons with the intension of spearing every habs player in the throat

get over the broad street bullies mentality

It's not the 70's anymore. You can't start riots on the ice.

Did you see Simmonds after the the Feds hit? Gally turtled immediately and then he tried getting another guy to go and he wouldn't. Simmonds was going nuts.

Did you see Hartnell do his best Ray Lewis impression on Plekanec?

I would say the Flyers responded as well as they could last night. It's not their fault Montreal's players were unwillingly to go and the refs were jumping in immediately every possible chance.

roar! kill! blood! Mame! blood blood blood!

I am a fan of physical play, and fighting when applicable, as much as the next fan, but this mentality is really a bit ludicrous. The team responded as well as they could given the circumstances.

maybe you should switch your focus to MMA?

I would say those points are very important to the Habs seeing as how they're battling the Bruins for the division.

And like others have said, this isn't the 70's. We defended our players after the hits and then made the Habs pay on the scoreboard. That's the kind of hockey this team needs to play.

Idk, I if the points meant anything positive, then I would agree. But I was more then a little disappointed too not see some heavy retaliation out there. They we running guys all night, and nothing really came of it, except more injured Flyers. Someone needed to do something last night, and no one did.

really? then you obviously didnt watch the game

there were numerous times where Flyers players were attempting to get at Habs players, yet the linesmen did all that could to stop that. Foster went after White, Simmonds going after that Euro that hit feds, only to turtle, and Rosehill even went after Paccioretty but to no avail, since the linesmen were in between them faster than you could say vagina. Also, how often did you see Subban acting tough when he would get behind the linesmen?

I watched the game. I saw the officials hop in. If someone wanted to get it done, it would have gotten done.
