Winnipeg fans seem to have an inferiority complex to most Canadian teams because their team is new and bad so they hate on teams like the Leafs and Habs thus leading to those fans hating them back... in reality nobody really cares about Winnipeg. Other Canadian fans just want them to shut up. Their arena fans are also incredibly annoying and dumb. They boo so many players for no reason at all, mock the opposing goalie even when he has a shutout going and their team is losing, etc.

Now that you mention it, I think it were Jets fans actually who were mocking Holtby when we were winning 4-0. We'd beaten them 6-1 the previous night. I thought I was hearing wrong. Joe B made a comment about the fans yelling, "Holt-by, Holt-by" and perhaps not understanding the proper context of the chant. Crazy stuff. If my team had been blown out 10-1 combined at home on a back to back that could have buried a division rival, I'd just sit quietly in my seat and drink my beer.

When Winnipeg got their team back I guess they decided to try and form some rivals. As if anyone cares about them . Good luck tonight!

Hopefully this game is more exciting than the one the Leafs played last night. Containing Ovie is going to be a pain in the butt

Hoping for a good injury free game. It should be pretty exciting because the Caps have won 7 straight and the Leafs have gone 9-1-4 in their last 14.

Leafs have more fans than half the NHL teams combined. I read somewhere its rediculous that HNIC broadcasts get insanely better ratings when they play.

More fans = More HF poster = More who cross post on GDT

Personally I don't have a problem with it at all. But then again I maybe biased because I vividly remember the runs made by the 92-93 and 93-94 Leafs in the playoffs and loved every single game.

As long as they're civil, I welcome opposing team's point of views. Isn't that the point of a message board? To provide opinions and discuss?

Yeah, and Leafs fans are generally decent. Not as annoying as Habs or Jets fans.

I remember that

Holtby had a shutout while they were chanting that

I've always thought that fans chant the goalie's name when a goal is scored on them, but I guess they were just trying to inspire their own team and get into Holtby's head.

Because caps fans don't give a **** about gdts (at least the posters on this board).

I mean look when it was started. What's our longest GDT been this year, that one from Tampa where we're still discussing random other crap and it's STILL nowhere near post limit?

Not as much as Domi's WWE style elbow to Niedermayer's face I am sure...

Hoping for a 3 point game. Your team has earned a playoff spot more than anyone else in the SE (especially Jets)
