I would think about trading down even with Warmack and or Cooper available...

More and more mocks have Eifert going to the Bears.

Emery says 5 or 6 players Bears like at 20 and 2 or 3 they hope might fall to them.

Said some teams have approached Bears about trading down and he has contact other s about trading down. Doesnt rule out possibility of trading out of the 1st round and down into the 2nd round.

Says he believes in drafting a QB every year.

Says he would trade up in needed

I've said from the beginning, trading down and taking Eifert in the first would be a great option. I think everyone is in agreement there as long as we don't pass on one of the guards.

Not sure where Brown would play. I don't think he can play MLB in the NFL. Seems like hes strictly a WLB.

His play and size compare incredibly favorably to Navorro Bowman and he backs it up with excelling at the college level at the position. It's not like he was a safety in college either, he played the position.

I was thinking, what if a guy like Sheldon Richardson drops down and is there at 20? Or perhaps Sylvester Williams. I could definitely see Emery taking a top 3 tech DT to replace Melton after this season.

I just went to NFL.com and sure enough, one of their guys has the Bears taking Sylvester Williams. NFL.com are all over the place with their mocks, the 4 guys have the Bears taking Patterson, Trufant, Williams, Ogletree. Ha.

Bowman plays the ILB on a 3-4 scheme next to the best LB in football and not as the only ILB on a 4-3 scheme.

I think Brown isn't built to play as the ILB on a 4-3 team.

Bowman is the 2nd best. He's MARGINALLY worse than Willis. You're not giving Bowman the respect he deserves at all.

When did I say he was a bad player? Jesus if you don't kiss a guys ass then you hate him.

I simply stated the facts, he plays next to the best LB in football and on a different scheme and team so to compare Brown on the Bears to him doesn't work out. Brown won't be next to Willis and will be the only ILB on the team. I don't think Bowman is as good playing by himself on a 4-3 team, he isn't built for it.

When did I say that you said that?

You're implying that he derives a lot of benefit from playing next to Willis. You don't get to be the 2nd best linebacker in the game just because of the guy next to you.

It certainly helps, when the opposing teams first look goes to the guy next to you. It's one thing to be the main focus of an offense vs just part of the game plan. He plays along side the best LB in football, one of the best 3-4 WLB in Aldon Smith and one of the best DL in Justin Smith, playing in that group helps all of them. Bowman is a good LB, I believe though that if he left the Niners and went to a team where he became the #1 LB he wouldn't be as good.

Bowman plays in a different scheme and isn't asked to run the seam in cover 2, Willis does that

Bears add OL guys and want to see if they found a guy worth keeping around. I like that idea when you have your starting OL already under contract that could get only better by moves like these.

Draft can't come soon enough

Brad Biggs‏@BradBiggs59s
Asked #Bears DE Shea McClellin if he's bulked up. Said he added about 8 pounds of mass working out. Goal was to get bigger.

Bears have done plenty of that

Chilo Rachal and Chris Spencer say hello

Rather see Bears either get guys (I don't like the deal with Saint LT but at least it fits my criteria) longterm or draft guys to develop. No more hope/prayer for failed busts or aging vets

The Packers signed Clay Matthews to a contract extension worth $66 million over 5 years and keeps him with the team through 2018.
