Not really sure at all how you could classify Kreider's season anything other than disappointing.

McIlrath was a top 10 overall pick, and sure does seem earmarked to be a 3rd pairing goonish d-man. Terrible pick then, and looks to be the same now. The organization deemed Roman Hamrlik a better option, rather than giving McIlrath a shot a full 3 years after he was drafted.

Dont know how you cant admit that the latter 2 have been disappointing, like I said, to varying degrees.
McIlrath also suffered a pretty serious injury, so I think Rangers made right decision in not throwing him into NHL deep end. As he has shown with Moore, Torts was never going to give McIlrath the ice time at this level to justify him being in the NHL.

Am I supposed to change my opinion because of an injury? Seems like a byproduct of his style of play, more than anything.

Again, #10 overall. For all the times I've seen people ***** about not having a top 10 pick, there was our only one since 2004.

And we chose Dylan over Fowler and Tarasenko. Hilarious.

This board despises DZ. I can't imagine they'd receive Fowler so kindly.

Fowler??? well as far as this year goes when he actually was on the ice he really looked bad this year

I think Mcilrath could really be the crease-clearing defenseman that the rangers really could use right now....A nasty, big defenseman that can actually skate, move the puck and pummel opponents may actually be worth a first round pick. We'll have to wait and see but I am not ready to crown the pick as a bust just yet.

Lets also count the amount of pro hockey games some of the kids have played before deeming that for NHL roles like a rebuilding franchise. I get that its hockey's future, but reality is what it is.

"Don't clear the crease! Front the defender and block shots/passes that go to the net."
-Probably what our idiot coaches will tell him since that appears to be what they tell every other defender.

Perhaps, but the effects of the Huge Specimen pick still haunts fans of this team 10 years later. Hence, some overreactions on Dylan's play.

What's Torts like in practice? I've never been there.

Perhaps, but I'm not feeling to confident in this team from what I've saw this season.

Avatar bet? I the Rangers win a playoff series, you pick an avatar for me to have for 3 months, they win 2, pick one for 6 total months, another 9 total and full year if they win the cup. If the Rangers lose, you sport an avatar of my choice for 3 months.

Seriously, I'd love to see some of you guys sit down with Gorton and Clark and enthrall them with your collected hockey acumen. I'm sure they picked this kid because all they thought he would ever be is a glorified goon slotted into the 3rd pairing.

This board has become a collection coffee shop type malcontents spewing endless iterations of Ranger suckdom.

There, that's my opinion. It's about as valuable and valid as yours.

Not in on an avatar bet.

But I'd be in on a username bet.

I've been very vocal about my displeasure regarding the trades (Gabby, Nash, and Clowe) as well as what I think will be a quick first round exit for this team, so may as well put my money where my mouth is. I'll take you up on your bet, Zenith.

Same rules as Kershaw's initial bet except usernames instead of avatars, yes? If so, consider your e hand shook.

FIRE TORTS.

I'm done with this *******. He sucks. He is not an NHL coach. Screw his stanley cup. He has no offensive creativity. He makes poor decisions. He is egocentric and stubborn. Plays favorites. Hated Gaborik. Hates Kreider. Puts Richards out on the faceoff on the PK. Just a pure dumbass. A dumbass. GTFO Torts. See you later. Go home. Go **** yourself.

Team looks much worse without Gaborik.

Their advanced stats have taken a dip and the eye test from my view suggests they are no better.
