Chiasson day-to-day with a sprained shoulder. Hopefully they don't rush him back, shoulder injuries can linger and really change the way a player acts on the ice.
It's also his 2nd shoulder injury this season. In a game against OKC ... I think it was in February. He missed several games. The injury was around the same time Nemeth got knocked out with a concussion.
Sure hope this doesn't turn into a Morrow-esque situation. Then again Morrow never got surgery for his neck issues.
When you hear neck surgery, it's hard to imagine that being minor. I kind of hope he does miss some time early in the year. Would be nice to have a veteran coming back a few weeks or a couple months after the start of the season while you run out an extra young defender.
If the young guys impress, ship out a guy like Rome. If one of the young guys needs it, he goes back to Texas to make room for Daley.
I'm on the fence about Daley's long term future in Dallas, but I assume any surgery would put the kibosh on trading him.
