MacTavish said that it was unlikely that any of these kids are moved unless its a substantial return. We`re not selling low here. So if anyone wants Eberle, stop with the offers that include your second best d-man and bits and pieces. Unless that 2nd d-man is amazing, ha ha. For Eberle AND the 1st, we`d need a guy like OEL, Pietro, Subban, Doughty, etc. coming back as part of the deal.
The issue isn't value, it is those guys aren't available. The package should bring back those players, but none of those teams have someone to replace them.

Eberle is a top line forward without doubt, but all teams have top line forwards. What they don't have is multiple top pairing guys. Great package, but for the blues to trade Shatty or Pei, we would need a replacement and a center.

Yes he has, the Nashville Predators are the ones that haven't been playing well this year. Take out the first and that's what it'll cost. The thread is Eberle + 1st.

Not much, Eberle's contract should become an albatross.

They should get of it ASAP.

Probably one of the worst proposals I have seen and you are an Oilers fan?

Did you forget that you are an Oilers fan and we only come up with Homer trades?

Vanek isn't the type of player we would be interested in. Looking more for a winger with size and grit that can get about 20 goals or that legit top pairing dman.

Playing injured ...broken finger can do that to your shooting . He will be back as good as ever

Weber is not going to get you two of Hall, RNH, Yak, or Eb plus one of those dmen and the 1st. You are so funny. Thanks for the laugh I needed that.

Eberle and a 1st(between 5-10) will probably get you any Dman in the league minus Karlsson, Weber or Suter.

I would jump on this deal in an instant, WAS pick will be high but those are two players that will make our team better as they are the type of players we need.

I doubt Weber is moved. St. Louis is probably the team to target if Edmonton wants a number one D. Especially if they feel they can't re-sign one of the above two mentioned.
Shatty is a nice dman but EDM needs a dman with size and I would not add the 1st in for Shatty.

Which is why you should keep him. Both guys will be first liners for the next 10 years, but Yakupov is the only one who can bring back an asset that could actually turn the team around.

Just my opinion, obviously.

Maybe in NHL13. Not in real life.

For that package? Eriksson and Eberle are close to even, I'd want more in return for Ebs than just Eriksson to be honest. Wanting Ebs and a 1st for Eriksson and something small is ridiculous.

We need a center or a d-man, not more wingers. As good as Vanek is, he's not what we need in my opinion.

Not interested in Dion, I always thought he was over rated and is still over rated. Seen him get beat too many times down the wing. He will fight of course as long as he knows the guy he is going to fight is smaller than he is.

It's not going to be a package. Maybe two separate deals, won't be together.

Eberle for a Yandle type d-man (at least, maybe that level of d-man +)

First rounder for a big 2nd line center (or draft one with the pick).

Then Gagner for some gritty depth players to fill out the roster.

I like these proposals and they actually all make sense. Yandle is not that good defensively but I am sure not as bad as people are saying. That would really improve our team.
