Pack lost 4-3, giving up a goal with 29 seconds left in the 3rd.

So are they even going to make the playoffs? Some playoff push they are having.

My bad.

Someone should get fired on the Ct Whale website. No update on their official website for 4 hours.

Yeah I know the Whalers make a lot of people cry but I really hate both the colors and the name of our AHL team now. Who goes from a badass name like the Wolfpack which happens to wear the colors of the Rangers and then calls themselves the Whale. They are all a bunch of Whales. I am starting a petition to make the Whale Pack official. And only if the Whales are Orcas.

I recon its been reported somewhere already, but due to his injury Fasth won't play for Sweden in the WCH's/pre-tournament games.

if it was any other player i'd say it's just a ploy to keep him for the playoffs... but with his injury history, who knows...?

AEG has mailed it in for the season, what with them not running the business end of the team or the XL Center next season. That said, they were never good at it anyways. Just use TheAHL.com for updates!

Sounds like Dodero is a decent positional defenseman with a little bit of an edge. I saw a couple Sudbury (OHL) games this year but I don't remember anything about him, not even the name. Quick Google search shows he was 152nd of NA skaters in the CSS rankings last year.

Kantor, his teammate, I do remember. I was reminded a little bit of Alex Bourret--a smaller wing that played nasty with some offensive talent. Same thing as Bourret though in that he disappears, which isn't good for a guy who's supposed to play on the edge. I'd see him play a couple fierce shifts and then wouldn't hear his name again.

They could become decent organizational guys, who knows. Let's see if they even hit the ice with Hartford.

Ah, so Beuk knows these guys from being the Assistant Coach with Sudbury last year. Maybe he knows their character and their work ethic from first hand knowledge.

i hope the Rangers sign these prospects if they play well and not have another JAM situation..

why cant the AHL signing rule change??? after the player's AHL contract is completed, the NHL organization of the AHL team that signed the player has one full hockey year to sign the player to an NHL contract without other NHL organizations able to sign him until one full hockey year has passed and he becomes an UFA..

Well that kind of sucks for the player. Either sign with us or be kept in turmoil? Won't happen. Either way, a player would get around it by signing an AHL contract with the affiliate of the NHL club he wishes to join, then waiting a year. There's just no need to change it.

Anyway, there was no "situation" with JAM. He signed an AHL deal, played well, and wanted a shot at cracking an NHL roster. He thought he had a better chance in Columbus than here, so he left. Big deal. The guy couldn't crack Columbus' equally inept offense and didn't really progress much as an AHL player. Time to move on...

Nah, he has a knee sprain that he has re-injured 3 times lately. When you get a sprain like that, there is muscle tissue damage and you need around a month or two to build it up again.
