Since then he traded kaberle, blew the first rounder he got, missed the playoffs and got fired.

The end.

The Lupul/Gardiner acquisition and hiring Carlyle are pretty important, no? Then, his first draft pick in Kadri has now emerged as a legitimate first line centre this season. And despite trading away those two first round picks for Kessel (who's above a ppg and the 11th best scorer in the league) the Leafs still have a better prospect pool than the Flames.

He traded Kaberle for a first, Colbourne and a second, which was a terrific steal. And at saying he blew the draft pick; less than two years after the draft and Biggs is already a bust? Good luck with that.

Burke isn't a perfect GM. And whether he's the best candidate for the job is one thing, but he is without question a better GM than Feaster.

He hired carlysle after extending and firing wilson within months of one another.

Colborn is a bust and that first rounder he got he used with a second round pick to move up 6 positions and select tyler biggs... who projects to top out as a third line grinder. The two picks he used to move up with? Rickard rakell who looks great in the ohl and this goaltender you may have heard of... john gibson.
So tell me again he didnt screw up with the picks he got for kaberle.

And the leafs should have a better prospect pool than the flames. Theyve finished bottom 10 year after year while the flames havent had a top ten pick since phaneuf. Funny thing is, is theres not a big difference in prospect pools. The leafs are better, but by an extremely small margin. Imagine the difference if they had gibson and rakell and dougie hamilton and tyler seguin. The leafs would be a powerhouse. Instead theyre peaking out as a fringe playoff team before they need to rebuild again.

I would let him go over the ROR but outside of that the worse thing he has done is trade a 5th for PLLL.

Its hard to knock the guy for showing faith his players, if anyone should be fired it is players that have let this team down (Gio,Kipper) this year.
Maybe its not what he's done, it's what he hasn't done, relative to his colleagues with less resources. Some GMs were able to obtain a #1 centre via trade, Feaster has not. Some GMs have addressed their isues that cost them the playoffs (faceoffs, shoot outs), where Feaster has not. Some GMs were able to negotiate a top prospect at the trade deadline. Etc, etc

So while we can commend Feaster on all things positive, ultimately we're in the position were in and he said we wouldn't be. And one can only assume he was responsible for making the decisions.

Who has gotten a number 1 centerman with assets we have had?

Sure its nice to say trade for Crosby but we literally had nothing most teams would want.

Yeah I often used Stajan as my #1 and always had 1.5-2 points per game.
