Oh, ok.
There are message boards where you need to click on a "Spoiler"-button to see a text or images between spoil tags. It's also pretty usable to hide potentially offending/frightening images.

That's why I asked.

I never kill spiders unless they just won't go away. I usually just pick them up and shoo them outside. We had one last year that I saw in a room across the house from our bedroom. It disappeared before I could get it and I didn't think too much about it, until later that night when I was lying down in bed trying to fall asleep and felt it land on my face. I turned on the light and there it was, on my pillow. The wife had already fallen asleep at this point and when I turned on the light she woke up. She asked me what was going on and I said "um, nothing, go back to sleep". That spider went down the drain.

My mother lived in Trinidad for a while when she was very young and told me some very interesting bedtime stories regarding giant spiders in the sink and similar fun stuff like that.

Yeah, the HFB spoiler system sucks. Big time.

So you stripped down to your underwear in front of your sister because a small spider was on your leg? I think my initial reaction would be to brush it off, not get naked. But to each his own. Who am I to judge how you do things in your household?

I killed a huge spider on the wall above my bed last weekend. ****er was so big I put on oven mitts. I didn't want to feel it through the paper towel when I squished it. Didn't get him good, though, so his legs were squirming all over the place as I rushed to flush him down the toilet.

Bring something heavy in your war against them.. they don't squish easy and they pop audibly when they do.. your standard broom will not do it.
I noticed a few of these while gardening today, most weren't too big but I came across a decent sized one. Glad I was wearing gloves, I'm sure a bite from that guy wouldn't feel too nice if they can pierce a woodlouse shell.

Just remembered that as a little kid i used to watch those little jumping spiders crawl on my window screens and catch little bugs. Strange because i was never really afraid of them then. It could've been because there was a glass window + window screen separating us but i always found it really cool to watch them stalk, catch, and eat little bugs.

Not sure if this is what they looked like though (searched jumping spider)...

...they were/are really, REALLY small. Like the size of a letter on your keyboard
