Give him another year in the AHL maybe? Then it gives you the option of trading either Khudobin or Svedberg to the highest bidder.

But I just am not sure that the Bruins re-sign Khudobin unless he comes to them and says he wants to re-sign and will take less money to stay there(not likely but possible).

The cap will make it very hard for the Bruins to pay up for him unless there are other deals that are clearing cap space.

I think the more likely thing to happen is that the Bruins let him go out and get offers and if they can't beat them they will tell him to take whatever the best offer is and then the Bruins will go with a Rask/Svedberg combo next year.

That makes sense to me anyway but a lot can happen to change things between now and then.

If he's a pending UFA, it shouldn't be very much. A 4th liner or late round picks.

If NI dont sign Nabokov i van see them pursuing Anton or Bernier. I also see a fit with NJ. If I'm Svedberg Id be mighty pissed to sit in the AHL another year.

Snow has a rep for looking for players who are ufas, been playing backup or secondary roles in other organizations, but who feel they are good enough for more responsibilty : Streit, Moulson, Parenteau.

If Nabby prices himself off LI or asks for too long a term, I think Snow makes an offer to Khudobin. Then he tells Poulin and Khudobin, that the #1 goalie spot belongs to whichever one plays well enough to take the spot.

Teams usually give up 4th or 5th rounders to talk to ufas. when is the last time a team gave up a 2nd, for the right to talk to player?

I'll happily take a 4th or 5th rounder for the rights to talk to both Khudobin, and also Horton

It would not surprise me if the Bruins re-sign Khudobin and pair him with Svedberg who I think is the best goalie in the system and then trade Rask to fill other needs and save cap space at the same time.

Khudobin signed night not be worth a 2nd rounder. The Bruins aren't getting any value for Khodobin outside of what he provides this season, and if he resigns.

I'm interested in rolling the dice on him for the Yotes and rolling with a platoon of him and Chad Johnson next year if Smith walks. Two years at 3-4 million is probably what I'd offer.
